So I’ve been cutting for two months now drinking 2 gallons of water a day with a 1500 cal deficiency and have lost only 14 lbs, always stuck with the mentality that muscle burn fat so cardio got pushed to three days a wk. but after a back and knee injury I gained 130 lbs in 3 years. Need it gone by December of next year. My nutritionist said my body fat is 25%, looking to get down to 12 or 15 without compromising muscle strength. Any Tips

your nutritionist is incompetent or a liar you are not 25% fat, not if your 406lbs. If he is correct congratulations you could be an IFBB pro with the amount of muscle you have on your body you should try and compete but your a little tall so you wont get far.
you can lose the weight you need by December next year but you should start but finding a nutritionist who knows how to do their job
you can also post some pics here your diet as well and we can help as much as possible♡♡♡UKGB♡♡♡ WWE Misc Faction of the year!!! As voted by you

Personally, I like using the cross trainer to warm up for 10 mins before workout. And using the treadmill for cardio. 3-3.5 mph on an incline. Always keep your heart rate between 130 and 140 for optimal fat loss.

This is why I barely help people here, it's impossible to because either people are lying (unintentionally/intentionally) or they are just stupid. *facepalm*

Yes I could see my abs, don’t understand the issue. I was playing college ball at that time, then semi-pro, and then Arena football before my knee could no longer take the pounding. No point in BS, just trying to get healthy, it was my understanding that 25% bf was obese so ya? Just wanted some tips, maybe a routine modification but without splits, I only do full body workouts. After the comments yesterday I went and got a second opinion on BF and it was 27.68 %. Not much of a difference, Nutritionist did the calipers with skin fold and my doctor took body measurements. So then I went online to a few BMI sites that used measurements and they were in all in that range.

Haters keep on hating, because somebody's gotta do it.
I love trolls as much as anyone else, but this is not a s#%t talking contest. Everyone’s a tough guy online. Well I’m not, there's no point, if you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem and are wasting my time.
Anyways I digress, I'm just asking for advice/tips/tricks of the skinnier lifters thanks.Everything you do in life will be insignificant but it's important that you do it.

Obesity is defined as an excess amount of body fat. The normal amount of body fat (expressed as a percentage of body weight) is between 25-30% in women and 18-23% in men. Women with over 30% body fat and men with over 25% body fat are considered obese.

I think their point here is that your stats are amazing and unbelievable that for you to have those stats is you must be a hardcore bodybuilder like the Mr. Olympia contenders. But its hard to assume that you are a professional BB'er if you still ask these kind of questions.
People here doesn't really wanna try to flame you but just to help you realize that you may not be aware of your own body composition. I guess its really better if you can post some photos so we can get a better estimate of your BF%.
Aside from that, you kind of hi-jacked the OP's thread by posting your own question here. Better start a new one.Last edited by jinda628; 12-08-2011 at 09:45 AM.

Don’t really care about the BF%. That just what I was told, but now I know that the two doctors I have are idiot’s thanks. Along with the team doctor I had in college and with the Arena team I was on but anyways.
Don’t know how to start a thread I'm a noob.
It was just a question; I didn’t see a problem with asking.Everything you do in life will be insignificant but it's important that you do it.

Noone said that your doctors are stupid. We didnt get the info directly from them so its hard to tell.
You came here to asked questions and people tried to express their thoughts about it and you seemed disappointed.
And if you figured out how to post and reply in this thread then there shouldn't be any problem figuring out how to start your own thread.
This happens to most of us. Overestimating and not understanding our own body composition. But thats the reason why we are here, to learn.
Just be patient and dont take it personally. Goodluck.Steam - jinda28
