    Just how bad is chocolate??

So at the moment I'm 4 weeks into a cutting cycle and eating very well... Apart from 15-30 grams of chocolate per day! I can't help it I'm an addict!

I'm wondering how much am I holding myself back from achieving my goal of 10 % bf or is chocolate (or other treats) in moderation an ok thing??

Chocolate consumption itself isn't an issue. What can be an issue is the secondary factors involved like overeating it and thus going over your caloric needs for the day, displacing too many micro-nutrient dense foods as a result and so forth.

15-30g? What is that...half of a "Snack Sized" Hershey's Bar? If you're still eating under maintenance (and it's not affecting you reaching your macronutrient/micronutrient requirements - not sure how it could)...it's perfectly fine. And if it's preventing you from binging, it's even better yet. Eat the chocolate.

    Unsaturated fats? Alright.

And how exactly do you think that would slow your progress or health markers? Have you actually read any latest research concerning fat intake and health markers / muscle development /fat loss that lead you to believe this could be an issue?

Or does your information come from some random bit and pieces of information you've remembered from various online "articles", commercials and magazines?

the question to ask yourself is it real chocolate that you are eating; are some crap loaded with fake oils and sugar. real chocolate is expensive, but will fill you up and the saturated fat turns into monunsaturated fat in the liver. I eat 40g of 85% dark chocolate everyday. my lowest body fat level was 6.7% So its an issue of calories in / calories out IF it is natural...

So eating not-natural chocolate bars would influence your bodyfat%?

Too much of anything is, by definition, too much.

That said, saturated fat is "healthy" to consume.

Are you serious? Please elaborate because you're indirectly argueing with the calories in vs calories out statement.
