Ended up buying the PB Elite Foam roller this morning. My school gym has a white roller and I've tried it out a couple times. The middle's entirely squished, but the ends of it are still somewhat firm. After giving it a try, I decided I truly need one since my entire back and much of my lower back is really sore most of the time.

Snrygo,
Thank for your post ! I just wanted to bring to your attention the quote you have "It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees"
-Rise Against; was said by Emiliano Zapata (8 August 1879 – 10 April 1919) "Prefiero morir de pie que vivir de rodillas."
I rather die on my feet than live upon my knees. I do like Rise Against but that quote was not their original idea.

Foam rollers and spikey massage balls are worth spending money on to get good ones that will last. Its a short term loss for a long term gain. You will save so much money in the long run from not having to pay for massages or physio's. I would look into rollers, spikey balls and thera bands.

thanks man!
I learned a lot of basic physio stuff while in school and over the years but the best stuff I have learned was how to use these things properly. I have been in the entertainment industry for a little over 10 years now and it has saved me from having any serious injuries. Basic shoulder, wrist and ankle stuff with a thera band will save you so much grief. Learning to roll out your legs, back and lats(if you have never rolled our your lats on a roller go slow its worse than the first time you do your sciatic). Spikey balls are great when you need specific areas especially for shoulders. Doing these things a few times a week will keep your body running smoothly. I highly suggest this to anyone who does any kind of serious physical activities.B -80k
