I love being on the trails, especially solo. There's nothing like it.

was the 2 days of fasting separated or was it 2 days in a row? I've done a day fast before (not trying to cut, just life hah) and it sucked balls.
You must be pretty cut at 195!
    PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

    Body weight: 194

Was a bich getting my ass to the gym today but I feel so good right now its great. This is the feeling that motivates me to continue to workout, I remember how good I feel after and its so worth it.

(1 hour yoga, stretch, foam roll + back squat warmups w/ bar and 135 for two sets)

    Front Squats, No Belt
    135x5
    185x5
    205x5

    Belted Front Squats
    225x6

    Front Squats, No belt
    245x1
    255x1
    265x1
    275x1

    - Last set I just had to put on 275 cuz you know....But might have overdone it a lil. Re-Feed tonight.

    Ab Wheel
    knees x 40 reps

    - Had to stop, abs were cramping

    Calves
    5 working sets for 7 w/ barbell
then 1 last single leg working set w/ chains around neck for 15

Cramping, need food and yeah today was a day I wanted to get my abs really pumped and it worked.

It's an iphone 10 lol, they do have amazing cameras and I agree the pics came out very well. Haven't hopped on the gopro train yet because of what I told you, I gotta budget like crazy right now until I get this investment deal finished.

Being on the trails is a great place to be mentally and physically. I know what you mean about being alone too. Its like a different form of meditation + you're getting top tier exercise.

Yep, two days in a row fasted. Was hell. But I'm dropping weight again so its working. Strength seems to be holding up very well also.

Thanks bro! I'm finally starting to see the cutting results I've wanted.

Earlier than that as I've had another lifting journal previously and also lifted before I even started posting on this site. What have I accomplished? That's a pretty general question, feel free to be more specific. I got to roughly a 500 squat/400 bench/600 dead and I hit 250 pounds with abs (could do plenty of pullups too). I'd sum everything up like this: I got really big and strong, then I battled a brutal knee injury, drug addiction and some unfortunate life problems, then finally got pancreatitis which took me out for a good 9 months. The entire time I never stopped lifting and always tried to maintain, it was a battle of keeping my gains and it has been tough, but still to this day I have never stopped lifting.

    Yes my body hurts lol

Those numbers are good. I saw you're natural too, which is commendable.

I mean like you said more in a general sense.

For me posting here is just like for many others a period where they have a lot of free time or they're bored or whatever.
You've been investing heavy time into this forum stuff.

What was your goal by all of this ?
What has your life been like over the years you posted here.

I hope you haven't wasted 15 years with this, no offense meant.

Lifting is good but it's not about how much you can push or weigh if you're not making money off of it.

Being fit and strong and good looking obviously is a feat not many people can achieve, therefore I mean training till your body is broken is the worst idea possible.

I really hope you have in some kind of way monetized or at least benefited from this journey.

    Thanks.

My thread title holds real truth to it, when I say I'll do this till I die I mean that. Why? Because exercise makes me feel better mentally and physically. This will be tough to keep short, but I was forced to take meds as a young child. I never wanted to but like I said I was forced. The meds made me feel terrible and by the age of 18-19 I completely stopped everything and got into exercise. I found out that challenging myself with exercise made me feel great and allowed me to get centered so I could do anything else in life with no issues. I didn't need meds, I just needed to channel my energy into something else.

My goal posting on here is to simply keep myself in check and motivate myself that much more. Posting on here creates more structure to my daily schedule and it pushes me to hold myself accountable. Never were my intentions to make money nor get attention. I will say with certainty that if someone is posting on here for money, attention, etc then they are setting themselves up for failure as far as progression is concerned. The only reason people should be exercising is for themselves. Anything that comes along with that is an added benefit.

I actually did end up making some extra income from all of this, I had allot of people back in the day PMing me for advice. I gave it away for free, but eventually I was flooded with so many questions it took days to answer them all. That's when I started online personal training. I'm still a trainer online and in real life, but nothing like I used to be years ago.

My life has been insanely crazy up and down. Once again I don't wanna write too much but from the time I started posting on here to now I've been through a helluva allot of chit. I've had many different relationships with many different people, had some crazy jobs, been crushed by certain things that brought me down so much I wasn't sure if I ever would be able to get back to where I was. I took many risks, I never gave up even though I was probably really close to calling it quits. Eventually some of those risks paid off and I was back on top again. But it was a roller-coaster of ups and downs all the way through. I've learned so much in the past 10 years it feels like I have already lived a lifetime when it comes to all the lessons.

No way in hell was posting on here a waste of time for me. Between keeping myself in check, making a boatload of friends, online personal training and then getting into the stock market, I benefited greatly from this website as funny as that may sound. I am working hard on not wearing down my body either, working on stretching, mobility work, more cardio, less heavy weights, etc. Also I don't wanna be "big" anymore, I wanna be lean and healthy. I've also tried my fair share of supplements lol, but yes as of now and for a long time I've been natty.

Maybe one day I'll write a book on all of this because I have way too many things to say when it comes to answering your post lol

    235x5

    - Can feel that I'm not 100% so I left the bench press at 305 even though I could have done more I just wasn't feeling the heavier weight today

Went on to do Calves, face pulls, incline DB flies, DB Lateral Raises, EZ bar curls, DB curls, Fascia stretching and I think that's it but I may have forgotten to list something. Lotta "sculpting" work today with lighter weight, was an amazing session in the 95 degree garage.

Strong ass benching my dude! Workouts in 95° heat sucks! So tough to get through them especially if it’s humid.

Sweet trail time! What kind of mileage are you doing?

Always a pleasure Woody, thanks bro.

I'm lucky to have dry heat here at least, so that makes it more tolerable. Once I start sweating I get used to it. Not sure how long the trail is, that's a great question and I need to figure that out. Its not too long I'd imagine but like I said the terrain is pretty extreme. Sometimes I'm going 2mph up a dirt path and sometimes I'm going 40mph down lol. Definitely the coolest trails I've been on. When I figure out how long that last one is I took I'll let you know.

So I did a leg session with front squats and back squats yesterday. Then I hit chest, shoulders, tris, bis and a lil back today. Body is roasted.

Yeah man I am hoping spending more time in the journals will motivate me to stay on. Too misc gets me burnt out on this site

Why the hip thrusts? The rest of the work kind of flows into the theme of the day(pulling) but those hip thrusts are just there by themselves lol

The journals are where its at! Keeping track def helps maintain the discipline. Gotta balance the misc lol I feel ya.

The hip thrusts are to fix my hip tilt and lower back. I have a bigger left QL/spinal erector because of that damn right knee injury back in the day that required surgery. I'm working on fixing it with a handful of different stretches and exercises. Eventually I'd like to see a specialist.

And today's workout was all about getting my squat form better. Its not fluid and I have uneven hips still, so I put a mirror up and made sure to squat evenly, its very tough.

    Body Weight = 200

    Light Squats / Technique Work
    135 for 5 sets of 5
    185 for 2 sets of 5
    225 for 5 sets of 5-7

    - The mirror helped greatly. Just trying to squat in one fluid, even motion so hopefully my hips will unfuk themselves

    Calves
8 sets, huge pump, 3 different variations and could barely walk after lol feels great! Finally hitting my calves like they need to be hit.

I've never tried putting a mirror up in my gym, I should try that sometime for a live form check rather than watching a video after.

love that accessory session yesterday, great stuff. I gotta start throwing in some more of them.

alright now the hip thrusts dont seem so odd lol. I didnt read the part where you are in recovery/equalizing mode.

Twelve sets of squatting, even the lighter weight, will definitely unfuk that hip! high volume squats, imo, will fix just about any issue. Got COVID? Squat. Cancer? Squats. Low T? Squats and Deads. Lost a leg? Squat til it grows back

So I have been extremely busy these past few weeks. I stopped the cut but I'm definitely leaner. The water weight I had lost came back so I'm floating around 200 pounds now again pretty lean. Lowest I got to was about 194 pounds. Definitely see new cuts, veins and striations coming through.

    Yesterdays workout:

    BW = 199

    Strict Overhead Press
    135x5 for 3 sets
    145x5
    155x5
    175x1 for 2 sets
    155x1 for 5 sets

    - Haven't done any overhead work in 3 weeks maybe. Worked on my technique here and kept it a bit lighter.

    Bench
    185x5
    225x5
    225x5
    225x6

    - Pretty easy

    Tricep Extensions
    4 sets of 15ish

    Chins
    3 sets of 10

    Face Pulls
    3 sets of 15-20

    DB Flies Superset w/ Dips
    25's x 12-15 / Body weight dips x 12-15

Two sets of this, strong chest pump.

    Light Speed Deadlifts/Technique Work
    135x3 for 5 sets
    185x3 for 5 sets

    - Extremely easy but good bloodflow etc

    Light DB Curls
    25's x 20

    3 sets

Think I did a few more things, another ADD workout. Just putting in the work and getting all the movements down the best I can. No need to go heavy all the time.

Thanks Woody! Yeah all gyms should have mirrors lol. I'll be buying a larger one soon. The move went great, still have some unpacking to do but I'm about 90% finished. Trying to figure out what I'll be doing with the gym now since I finally have a full two car garage dedicated to it. I really want a reverse hyper. Bad timing though because there's some extreme price gauging going on with gym equipment. I just watched some guy spend $140 on two 35 pound dumbbells, it honestly made me rage inside and I left. No way am I spending $2 per pound.

Yeah man its a long story lol. Got a dislocated kneecap and needed surgery for some chit that got torn up. I'm way better now but standing on my left side for 3 years caused some imbalance issues that I've been working on hard to fix.

And LMAO pretty much! Squatting = Life

    65 x 5
    75 x 5
    95 x 5
    115 x 5
    125 x 5 three sets

    - These are tough lol, felt my right lower back get an amazing pump though so I think this will be a staple for my recovery now

    Standing Calve Raises
    135x10 two sets
    185x10
    225x10 three sets

    Seated Calve Raises
    135x45
    185x20
    225x15
    275x15 two sets

    Single Legged Calve Raises
    BW x 10
BW + 30 pounds Chain x 10,8,6 so three sets

    Ab Wheel
    Knees x 41

-Had to stop, left ab cramping bad

    Chins
    BW x 10 four sets

    Pullups
    BW x 10

    Plate Pinches
    45 for 5-10 seconds 6 sets
    35 for 15-30 seconds 3 sets

Okay, one legged deadlifts are money. I think this may be the number one exercise that helps fix my imbalance. We'll see. Also injured my thumb a little bit somehow but its only minor.

-Okay finally squats are starting to feel better

    - This is feeling better too

    Poundstone Curls
    Bar x 40 + Fascia Stretch for 1 min

Kept it simple today with decent weights. Wanted to get a feel for where my strength is at and I definitely feel healthier and stronger. All my stretching, deep tissue work and mobility work is paying off finally. Squatting in front of a mirror is a huge factor. I also got an inversion table and set it up yesterday, it feels AMAZING. Finally getting my lower right QL and spinal erectors to fire instead of having my left side do all the work.

Turning them calves into bulls lol.

Solid work on the squat and bench and glad to see everything is feeling right and getting heavier
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.
