When do you think Fields come in? Thanksgiving game vs Lions looks good to me.

It seems like Nagy fully intends on riding Dalton this year. Unless he completely sucks or gets injured I don't know that we even see Fields this season. It's pretty evident they aren't at risk of losing their jobs at the end of the year. They will get the season to develop Fields and see what he can do in 2022.

I'm willing to bet Fields is in between week 6-8 unless Dalton has them above .500.
How many times after the draft do teams say " X is our starting QB (referring to the veteran they signed)" only to see the rookie get thrown in midway into the season after the team has been doing terrible. I'll be the first to say I'm skeptical if Field's will be a success in the NFL, but I am excited for the Bears to have some hope and excitement at the position after what seems like an eternity of suffering.6'1 - 240lbs

I don’t think they’d want to start him on a short week. If they’re not very good I’d say when they eliminated from playoff contention. If they’re somehow actually good with Dalton probably not until the end of the season.
However, if they are good with Dalton I don’t think Nagy will be able to resist creating some of his “razzle-dazzle” packages that will involve getting Fields on the field.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Easily take the over, 17 game season, they'll win 9.
Also IDK how he's looking in the fantasy world right now but now that they have an actual OL Montgomery will have a breakout year.
As long as he doesn't sustain any serious injuries there's no reason he doesn't put up at least 1000-1200 yards.
*** Well I'll say this, the only thing that can stop the Bears from having a good year is the retard Nagy.Last edited by MBisonSon; 07-20-2021 at 11:48 AM.

So after a bit of a shaky start, Fields dominated. Like his composure and his size, speed, and ability to accelerate like he can is amazing.
The offensive line was not very good but is injury depleted. I saw that Schefter tweeted Jason Peters was signing with the Bears: https://mobile.twitter.com/AdamSchef...36750374440965
That probably doesn’t bode well for Jenkins returning anytime soon. He was good but is old and has had some injuries, so hopefully the medical staff did a better job of evaluating him than they apparently did with Jenkins.
The defensive line/linebacker depth appears to be amazing. Ogeltree is clearly making a case for a roster spot. He was all over the field early on.
Rough start but a lot of positives to take out of the game, IMO.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Nope, he played against some starters. You can even watch a video clip of him smoking a Miami starting LB. He had a fumble (which he recovered) on a spin move he tried to use to get past multiple defenders and one bad throw that happened on the same play his receiver fell down. He led a 2 minute drill for a score and then absolutely dominated the second half.

why you spend so much time in threads regarding teams you don't like...?
I'm sure there's a marvelous circle jerk going on in the Vikings of Packers thread or whatever team you follow.
Fields looked great...
heres' a video highlighting just how dogchit TruBUSTky was in his 4th year, and why he was benched despite the team being 4-0 at the time I believe.

Ryan Poles is the Bears new GM.
Has been a finalist for multiple other jobs including the Vikings (the Bears hired him before he had his second interview with them), so hopefully he’s good.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis
