Raiders were just too big and physical.

I hope it's not a sign of things to come, they said Raiders had some of the biggest OL's in the NFL.

If you watch the game basically every snap Raiders OL was knocking Bears back, half the time their RB was getting a 3-4 yard head start.

They were so big they couldn't keep the LB's clean, I was almost wishing they'd put Kwiatkowski back on obvious runs at least, give them some stoutness at the point of attack.

Happy for the bye week and hoping they come out looking sharp next game.

Leaving on Thursday was a stupid idea. I worried about it all week when I heard the Raiders left right after their game last Sunday. It showed instantly. The team was lethargic and they were completely dominated physically on both sides of the ball. Made it fun for a little bit in the 2nd half, but that was probably one of the worst games I've ever watched. The offensive line is a complete joke. It's been bad since week 1 and it's actually getting worse in my opinion.

I'm not blaming the outcome solely on that. I do think it played a part though, imo. They have a lot to work on for sure.

As soon as we got the running into the punter foul, i knew we weren't going to win. I called the fake punt(the bears always seem to be oblivious to fakes when they come). Lost the battle in the trenches.

Idk I think they have the depth to hold it down. Not to take anything away from Hicks as he's been nothing short of amazing, but that is the deepest position on this defense. They didn't hold up well against the Raiders, but I expect much better moving forward. Goldman, Harris, Williams and Roy-Rob can be beasts. It's going to hurt but I think it will be fine.

I'm excited to see who gets Long's spot. Hoping Bars outplays Coward even though Coward has a nasty side to him.

*Going to need that interior of the defense to step up too. Saints have 2 of the best tackles in the game. They've only allowed one sack on Teddy. Need the interior to step up.

I'm convinced Leno is literally 60% of the problem on offense. Dude is a complete clown, and a larger liability. I recall a set of plays in Oakland where he single handedly dismantled the drive by getting finessed by a rookie and gave up a sack, then held the very next play.

But as a whole the Bears have some of the worst offensive line play in the NFL. Which isn't complimentary to a guy like Montgomery who is basically useless on anything outside. Dude is averaging like 2 yards per carry before contact. Just for perspective, the league leaders are at like 4 yards before contact. Bears are dead last in yards per attempt at 2.99. Until the line is addressed, this offense is mediocre at best.

Useless is an overstatement but he's not fast enough that you'd typically want him running east/west.

Cutbacks yes, but like sweeps and **** like that, probably not so much.

You literally don't have to have world class speed to run a sweep. You need good blocking. Fast athletic linemen that can get outside quickly and set the edge. Montgomery has enough quickness to round off that edge and/or cut it back inside if needed. He doesn't have long speed that he is going to run away from defenders for a 90 yard TD, but he can certainly get some run outside. They just don't do it in this offense. Nagy has all but eliminated that even with Cohen.
