One of the kickers made a 43 yarder after being iced too.
That sack by Roquan was nasty too.

Yeah the kick was nice to see. Ron confirmed he iced him on purpose to help Nagy out, because he knows we are looking for a kicker. It was nice to see him come through and drain that though. Piniero seems to have a bigger leg, but Fry to maybe be the more accurate kicker.
The backup for Tucker at Baltimore had a nice night kicking. Made one from 55/45/26. Kaare Vedvik - His name has been mentioned a few times in trade rumors for the Bears.Bears/Bulls/Blackhawks

Imagine for a second, AMeyer still has several active accounts here, as well as several on the other forums he admitted to "talking sports" (see: trolling) on.
Dude's a compulsive liar on top of being a huge loser.
Dude tries to claim being successful which is odd because of all the successful people I know, none of them are such dedicated, prolific trolls.
It's almost like AMeyer's lying again, like when he said he played minor league baseball.
Anybody here know any successful people who moonlight as prolific trolls on the internet?

He played all but 3-4 offensive snaps in their first preseason game. He looked good I though, but the reserves for the line as a whole didn't. I've heard he's still trying to get back into "football shape" after the knee. But he hasn't missed a singled practice since rookie mini camp. He is going to be trying to beat out Ted Larson for a roster spot, who is an established and cheap vet they have behind Kyle Long. I'd say talent wise he's miles above Larsen, but who knows how it plays out. I'm going to be watching him throughout preseason for sure.

Thanks for the update. The 49ers OL scares me and we just can't catch a god damn break(no pun intended) on the injury avoidance front as our backup swing tackle went out on the first damn drive in preseason and our OL depth is ass cheeks. Couldn't believe Bars kept falling in the draft but guess the injury was a major concern.
Speaking of Long, any chance of him hitting free agency next year or do you think they lock him up?

Long is signed through 2020 I believe, but he has a hard time staying healthy and is already 30 (31 in December). I personally don't see them extending him long term after this season, especially if Bars can perform well and they feel Long is replaceable with him. He's the longest tenured Bear on the roster I'm pretty sure, and Pace didn't draft him.

This thread has been quiet. Some interesting news recently.
The Bears announced their initial 53 man roster and practice squad: OFFENSE (24)
Quarterback (2): Mitchell Trubisky, Chase Daniel
Running back (4): Tarik Cohen, David Montgomery, Mike Davis, Kerrith Whyte Jr. (r)
Wide receiver (6): Allen Robinson II, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, Javon Wims, Riley Ridley (r), Cordarrelle Patterson
Tight ends (4): Trey Burton, Adam Shaheen, Ben Braunecker, Bradley Sowell
Offensive line (8): Charles Leno Jr., Cody Whitehair, James Daniels, Kyle Long, Bobby Massie, Ted Larsen, Cornelius Lucas, Rashaad Coward

Punter: Patrick O’Donnell
Kicker: Eddy Pineiro
Long snapper: Patrick Scales
DEFENSE (26)
Defensive line (6): Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman, Bilal Nichols, Roy Robertson-Harris, Nick Williams, Abdullah Anderson
The Bears backup OL situation is a little frightening, imo.

Inside linebacker (6): Roquan Smith, Danny Trevathan, Nick Kwiatkoski, Joel Iyiegbuniwe, Josh Woods, Kevin Pierre-Louis
Offensive lineman Alex Bars

Tight end Jesper Horsted
Defensive back Michael Joseph
Wide receiver Thomas Ives

Linebacker situation is scary?
I like Lynch, he's a good player.
I look at him like Floyd in terms of productivity.
Like if he was starting he could be an 8-10 sack guy playing opposite a Khalil Mack level talent. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

I thought you meant backup OLB cause you randomly threw that comment in with the defense after discussing offense.
Anyways I've heard bad but they did a good job of covering that up last year.
They gave away a bunch of draft picks last two years, so they're gonna have to be thin in some areas.
I'd hope they aggressively address the line after the season. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

Bears are top 10 in salary cap space. That gives Pace some freedom to hand out some contract extensions before the season starts.
I’ve been very impressed with him so far. He’s done an excellent job drafting and bringing in talented players that fit the culture him and Nagy are working on building.
Cannot wait for week 1. Should be a fun game.

That was an abysmal showing. Nagy’s game plan and decision making was horrible. 3 and inches and you do a gadget play instead of a qb sneak or running it, going for it on a 4th and 10 instead of kicking a 51 yard fg.
Trubisky was abysmal starting down receivers and missing open guys.
The offensive line was not sharp, James Daniels had no issues snapping but he has no idea who to block.
Allen Robinson was a stud and Montgomery showed some flashes.
The defense was dominating except for that one drive but the offense cost them the game and wasn’t fun to watch.
I saw a lot of people worrying about the Bears paying Trubisky 30 million a year after the Goff deal, I don’t think any of us should be concerned about that anymore.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Defense showed up. Offense didn’t.
Mitch isn’t going to be the franchise QB. Too inconsistent and too mistake prone.
Always follows up a good play with a bad play. And misses receivers way too often. The QB needs to elevate the offense. He does not.
Got to start looking for a new one.
Can’t win a SB with him. We just have to accept this fact.
