Hi guys, Hugh here.
Since April, when i first started seriously lifting (e.g. looking up routines, following them, ect.) i started myself on a 5-day split. I started this for about two months, then i went onto a SS that i modified myself which included many & more compound lifts. I did this for about two more months, and my lifts skyrocketed. Since then, i climbed back onto the 5-day split train and progressively gained weight but havn't necessarily gained strength. Which is why i want to go back onto SS. More specifically, Babylover's SS.
Today i start my BabyLover's Modified SS, which will consist of these lifts:
A
Squat 3x5
Bench 3x5
Chins 15-20 total reps, add weight or use assisted.
Rows 3x5 SUPER STRICT.
Optional: Cable rows, 3x8 bicep work, 3x8 rear delt flyes, do this at your own discretion. If you don't feel like it, don't worry
B
Front squat 3x5
MP 3x5
Deadlifts 1x5
Optional: 15-20 reps of dips, 3x8 tricep work
Current stats (as of 11/6/11)
Weight: 183lbs
Height: 5'9"
Squat: 245x5
Bench: 185x5
Row: 155x5
DL: 315x5
Quite suprised at my bench, which is what it was back in my prime during the end of my GOMAD diet. I'm quite happy with it to be honest, a good base to start with.
Supplementation
MusclePharm's Assault pre-workout
Russian Bear 5000 post-workout
IDS Smart-Gainer 5000 post-workout

I first was introduced to the gym around 7th grade, which was when i was 12. didn't do much, curls bench ect and it was this way all throughout highschool. didn't do legs or anything lol. Sophomore year, went into a weight training class, around april 2011 i started lifting seriously doing legs and back and everything else as it was.
when i started my weight training class i was like 95x5 bench 115x3 squat and like 145x5 deadlift lol. i am a junior now, so those were my stats about a year ago

Weight trainin class helped a lot. taught me good form and how to do these lifts, proper breathing, NEARLY everything i know now besides what i've learned from bb.com and people irl
After my weight training class i benched like 165x3, squatted 245x5, and deadlifted like 265x10.
that feel when you get sick 2+ times during summer.... lolLast edited by hughjack3dmannn; 11-18-2011 at 07:54 AM.

Bleh decent day today guys
had to do front squats first because the benches were taken... raged. anyways front squats were a bitch today i ended up getting to my goal but they were barely parallel. Feltbadman. Same with bench, i feel as thugh the spotter helped me more than necessary... goddamn gym strangers. Rows were good though
225x5 front squat
200x5 bench
185x5 row
Feelsokman

Pretty good day, PR'd on two out of three lifts.
85x5->115x5->130x5 OHP*
205x5->245x5->285x5 ATG back squat*
1x355->1x355->3x355 deadlift (pr'd i guess but i didn't get full 5)
deadlifts kinda sucked, was just like a week ago when i only got 335 like 3 times... feelbadman. Weighed in at 187.4 today, which is a plus.
