Haha yea buddy. You got some time. Just eat more bro you've been 160 for too long
I'm planning on hitting 465+, 285+, and 465+.
May decide against bbing routine. I'm not going to be eating as much, and my goal won't necessarily be pure strength, but it def. won't be 100% bodybuilding. I want to condition myself BIG TIME, get more cut, and slowly gain strength.
maybe 5/3/1 4x day/week style. Not sure.
Thanks, guys!
Yea I'm starting to get a bit antsy. The night before I will be fukkin energetic as hell - I already know lol. I gotta get some nyquil and just crash or else I'll be getting 2~ hours of sleep.
Lol thanks bro. Stop by as often as you want. I'm not updating too frequently tholive.laugh.lift

One week out
Opener Test Day
Squat
w/u
bar x 8
bar x 8
165 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 2
335 x 1
385 x 1
425 x 1
Bench (paused)
w/u
bar x 8
bar x 8
115 x 5
145 x 3
185 x 2
215 x 1
245 x 1
May change up rep scheme a bit for my warmups at the meet. I wanted a bit more volume before I did my 1reps.
Deadlift
w/u
bar x 10
165 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 2
325 x 1
365 x 1
405 x 1
Stretching/foam rolling after workout.
Notes:
A very nonchalant, yet very focused day in the gym. I hit all the numbers I was going for, and that's all that mattered. Bench and dead were a bit slow, but it was only because of the atmosphere. Squats were awesome lol I controlled the 425 like it was NOTHING and drilled it out. I did not have ANY rebound action though, so on Tuesday I'll be working on speed at 135 and then chill out until Saturday. I'm getting edgy and ambitious as fawk for the meet. Practiced all commands today as well.
No videos. I forgot my memory card to my camera and Sam's phone died. Fail lol
May get some pics up after dinner to see how I'm doing since this is the heaviest I've been ever.live.laugh.lift

STRONG FUN MEET WAS FUN!!
My lifts did not really go as planned... at all, but it was still an excellent experience.
First of all, I was originally going to be in the kids/women group until they realized my opener squat was off the charts, so I ended up rolling with the 18+ guys lol was a bitter-sweet feeling. So Sam and I got there at 8:15ish this morning, had a quick squat meeting to explain the rules, kids/women got started and then we began. The warmup area was sh*tty. We had the worst rack ever for squats and bench lol but still managed to make them work. My opener for squats was 418. That was kind of difficult. My 2nd attempt was 438, and I fukking bombed that. I dropped WAY too fast into the hole and then got stuck lol. Tom (IzzyT on bb.com) arrived just prior to my 2nd attempt and he told me what I needed to do. I just needed to actively tell myself to CUT depth a bit and so I did. I did 438 again and smoked it. Not a PR, but I avenged myself.
Then bench. Warmups felt awesome, but I finished my warmups far too quickly and literally waited 20+ minutes before my first opener. I opened with 210 (it was either 210 or 258...) and that flew up. 239 went up kinda fast, but I paused too long, so I decided to go for a PR at 272. I failed that big time and was sadface.jpg but oh well.
Next was deadlifts. These were FUN! We were just having a ballin ass time warming up and watching everyone deadlift. I opened with 405 which was a walk in the park. Next was 433 which felt really good as well. I went for 455 on my 3rd attempt and failed around my knee. Everyone was cheering, but I didn't lock it out. FML.
Overall, it was awesome. My parents showed up; Sam's parents showed up; Tom and Sam's GF were there the entire time; everyone was SUPER friendly and easy to talk to. I loved it. My final numbers were 438/239/433. A bit disappointed, but it is whatever. Sam's were 438/283/477 . His deadlift was spectacular haha everyone was going crazy.
I'll upload pics/vids tomorrow. Thanks for the support in here everyone time to get leaner and more conditioned ftw!Last edited by baco_bacon; 05-12-2012 at 06:41 PM.

Thanks, man!!! It was for sure a good time and definitely a good experience. No pessimist but I was expecting the worst for the meet for any situation (in case anything did not go as planned), so I'm not too upset. I'm excited for training over summer. Gonna get leaner/more conditioned/and have more fun with higher reps. Thinking of running a variation of 5/3/1 with Sam except start out liiight and just stick with it for a while (ie: 315 squat, 315 dead, 185 bench, or something like that).

LOL Yet I still hit 205 bench in my mock meet yesterday which is a matched PR, but at ~20lbs lower BW and after no benching for 5-6 weeks! Thats one of the reasons why I like OH Pressing so much more than benching!
Fuarkin strong #s baco! Makes me look like a pussy when you got 100lbs on my squat Cant wait for the vids
