Thursday 9/26 - 2 days out - light circuit/foam rolling/posing practice
Weight = 170.2 (new prep low!!)
Did a light weight training circuit this morning along with some stretching and foam rolling. Having these last few days off on legs has them feeling great! Nice little deload. Tomorrow, go for the spray tan. I've used Dream Tan for all my prior competitions and the color has been okay. The tanning place that does this competition has given other competitors good success on their look on the stage, so I figured I'd take the plunge this time. I'm sure my wife is very grateful she doesn't have tanning duty this time around. Got my poly tomorrow as well.

Sorry I kept you guys waiting. Since my Dad drove across the country to see the family, I was off from work until today.
I had a great time at the show and will have a write up in a bit.
I took:
2nd submasters
2nd Novice
2nd Mr. Wisconsin
4th Open
I ended up losing to the competitors who took overalls. In the open, I felt I should have been in the top 3. Here are some pics my Dad took. When I see the professional pics from the show, I'll post those.

I ate pretty much anything and everything. Had some pizza, a burger, my wife's quiche, her baked goods (black bean brownies, black walnut cake, pumpkin balls), various seafood and ice creams. I basically took a diet break for the last few days. I'm back on track for the rest of this week so I can can release some of this sodium and water I'm holding. I'll probably wait to check the weight until next Monday. Feeling fed and happy!

Well done! More hardware! Time for a bigger shelf.
What was your final weight? She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

Thanks, Delt! Yup, improvement time. My final weight was right around 174lb. Pretty close to what it was last year but I was leaner this time.
Why thank you! I really enjoyed the contest. The competition was better this year versus last year.

The show I just did will end up being a Pro-card show next year, so I may work towards that. Size-wise, I feel I'm mostly there. I need to improve my glutes and chest as a priority. My back would be next. I need to improve conditioning more, especially in the legs. I plan to be tighter on letting my weight balloon up so I don't have to do such a long cut.
Chest-wise, I've really stuck to barbell bench pressing. I plan to utilize more incline benching this time around and a lot more DB pull-overs. I'm at the point where I feel I'm fighting genetics (what I feel are less than optimal insertion points) and I'll try to blast these areas with movements I believe will help them the most. I really hadn't thought much about this in the past. Legs, just gotta keep hammering them as I think they've improved quite a bit over the last year. Again, in many of the movements, I don't think I'm getting optimal glute activation, so I'm going to have to be more mindful of that. Also, BB glute bridges and better quality squats will be my new friends.
The other big thing to work on is posing. Although, this year, I improved tremendously, I can always make improvements here.
I'd like to say I'll hold off at least a year but this show has been so much fun and put a goal in mind that doesn't seem too far out there. My 2014 off-season and prep: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139229683
