I'm more interested in who the main character will be.. I'm waiting for another Italian American, but change would also be nice.. I'm actually leaning towards Las Vegas, or San Andreas again.

Another thing... San Andreas was great, but I can't play that **** anymore, the graphics are terrible and the controls just suck compared to the newer GTA4. I liked all the GTA games, but we should really be comparing San Andreas to Vice City as they run on the same engine/same generation of console.

Yeah the graphics don't hold up from any previous console GTA game, but then again rarely do 3D games hold up. I don't have a problem going back and playing GTA2,VC,SA. 3 is the only one that I never beat (besides 2) that I won't go back and play, and it's mostly gameplay, mission difficulty, etc issues.

dude no way, saints row is a fun time waster but nowhere near the level GTA is. I've played both and Saints Row is just cartoonish and childish at times. I sold it after 2 months, but i kept GTA for 2 years. I dont know why people say they need to add a fun factor. I liked GTA IV's realism A LOT, and i think The Ballad of Gay Tony is really as far as they should let it go, maybe just add jets. Make it a believable game and come out with some crazy **** as DLC.

Nah, i doubt it, that would have fit better with a Mafia type game (L.A. Noir) or a game in New York(IV). I think this character will most likely be Black or Mexican. If you dig around theres a few sites listing the casting call, with all the major characters descriptions included.

Dawg! I remember when GTA 3 came out! Old school shiit right there and then there was San Andreas. I'm from Inglewood Calli and that game was BIG in the hood lol!

I don't really play video games, but i have to play the GTA games everytime they come out. I can't wait for this one, i heard its going to be set in the UK.

Should be set in Calli again or in Kingston Jamaica. (Both my homes )

The expectation is a Map that has 60% city and 40% countryside.

So, 3 cities the size of each island in GTA IV, with the same amount of country side as GTA SA.

The map overall should be bigger then SA. Game maps have grown over the years and it's expected to be the same with the GTA series.

I had GTA San Andreas before i had the internet and everyone at school would talk about bigfoot being in the game and we had a bet going to see who would find him.

I can't wait for the next GTA i've been playing since GTA 1 and for the person who said he hasn't played the GTA's that were on the PSP, you can buy them for the PS2 and they are definetly worth it. Both are great games.

Again, these details seem authentic.. Down to the running time of the trailer with a good description.

No way this is gonna happen, Rockstar's trailers are always about a minute in length and show plenty of the game.

Sorry,all were like that cept the last one. My point was proven..R* games were all about being that game,then the last one all they gave a **** about was how the game looked...Notice how the trailers go from showing action and awesome **** to 60 seconds of,SCENERY. thats it. all they did was show off the new engine and ****ty "realistic" feel of the game. I have never been so disappointed in a game. Serious

There are so many 'moments' in previous GTA's (III & Vice city for example), where you would think, 'that's ****ing stupid, as if that would happen in real life! piece of **** game.' and you would proceed to drive around like you were invincible, crash into a wall head on at max speed (strong seat belts), or die as soon as your feet touched water.

I'd rather play as if it were real life, be able to get drunk, fly through the windscreen of my car etc.

Also the car's in GTAIV were realistic fuuuark, wheels would get twisted, popped, catch fire and would affect the driving. made the game much more funner.

can't wait to see what GTA V will be like. will most likely run the same engine as IV, let's just wait and see.

maybe you didn't understand my post..I wasn't bitching about the fact that you couldn't swim (yea **** like that should be real in a game). use some common sense though. I mean it in the physics of the game. coming out the windshield was awesome,yes..but the cars drove like trucks on ice..the damage is fine,make it real but again i said the physics and engine sucked..the characters felt like hardened jello when running.. The game needs to go back its video game roots. Not this bull**** who can make the nicest looking game b.s the industry has been taken over with..They don't care about game,they care about the look..

I will get the game though. Its fun to drive around and murder people and jump off ****..But idk why I'm already expecting a letdown.

The fans have made it clear what they want. It's a game more graphically superior to GTA IV with the fun of San Andreas.

We all remember how fun San Andreas was (here is a list i wrote on another forum):

- Riding bikes.
- Driving dirt bikes across mountains.
- Swimming under water.
- Robbing houses.
- Parachuting/Base Jumping.
- Jet-packs.
- Driving trains.
- Driving Planes.
- Modding cars.
- Towing cars with a tow truck.
- Driving and using a Fork-lift.
- Driving army vehicles.
- Recruiting gang members to follow you around.
- Spraying/Tagging walls.
- Taking pictures with a camera.
- Starting wars with rival gangs and taking over their territories.
- Buying houses.
- Driving go-karts.
- Many side missions to earn money (example, exporting cars).
- Going to the gym.
- Play arcade games.
- Gambling at the casino.
- Horse betting and watching the horses race.
- Learning fight moves.
- Many Challenges (Example, Shooting range).
- Stadium Events ( Car and Bike races inside stadium).
- Interact with people with Positive or Negative replies.
- Gaining/Loosing weight and muscle.
- Playing basketball.


The RAGE engine used in IV was the first time Rockstar made a GTA game with it. They have since modified it a lot, and now they will fully utilize it's potential.
If you played RDR, you could already see the improvements in game play since IV.

I thought the cars were fine. The bokes, on the other hand....

Thank God they fixed that in the DLC. Love tooling around on a bike, just killing insanely!
