Didn't you read my post? I know it's a tiny little S10, and it's going the opposite direction than you, but my York 210 EDC (engine driven compressor) will pump out 8-9 CFM at 90 PSI. That'll fill my 10 gallons of reserve from 110-175 in about 35 seconds or so.
Viair makes GREAT electric compressors, but holy hell. I'll pass on waiting for 2-3 minutes between hitting the switches. I can run a DA with my York.

I somehow missed that brah, not sure how. Those things would have been freaking great when we hunted down in old Mexico. We would pack 8 spare tires for our 2 or 3 trucks on a 2 week trip, having ready and quick access to compressor would have made for a few less tire changes though most were severe lacerations from the sharp rocks climbing the hills.

That's a great site with a lot of parts. Honestly, though, if you're decent with a welder and have some junkyards around, you can pick up a 209, or 210 for $50-$75 and just rig something up. The Sanden compressors are GREAT for the high pressures, but are a little lacking on the flow side of things and you have to oil them in-line (at the suction port).
Remember to vent the crank case or you'll be draining your oil trap and refilling every other time you use it.Your freedom to be you includes my freedom to be free from you. -AW

There's a lot of options brah, but that's not one that I would choose personally. As far as trucks are concerned IMO stick with the big 4 (big 4 wut) Toyota, Dodge, Ford, Chevy in no particular order. I don't know too much about the others, but you can reduce costs and possibly get better fuel economy by going with Dodge's little 4.7 liter v8. Funny that little 4.7 still puts out over 300 hp.

There's a dude that got the IronBull without the bully bar and posted pics recently, that thing looks freaking beast (as my teenager would say, I think that means good). Matching front and rear would be great. I would love to replace mine with the IB as well but if I get to that point I'd have to look and see if the factory fog light wiring is easily transferable over to it because I hate running wires.

Hell with a WRX, or STI you don't really need a truck. I took my old WRX to the sand drag strip and was smoking the trucks out there with street tires. I had a blast with that thing.
Ya know, don't rule out small older japanese SUVs. Raiders, rodeos, etc. They are surpsingly capable off road and can usually be had for dirt cheap as well. Because they are so small, they are usually very nimble and can fit into places that the full size trucks can't.Your freedom to be you includes my freedom to be free from you. -AW

This is why I always bust up laughing when I see F-250s and Silverado 3500s with 6" lifts and competition mud tires. You always see these Bro-warriors on access roads pretending they're at the Rubicon trail. It's always funny imagining how badly my stock Jeep with BFG KOs would blaze those tanks on a real trek.
Nothing like having a truck whose ball joints and tie rods are getting eaten up just so you can have all show and no go with your daily driver.Near, far, wherever you are...

It's not just Cali, that's everywhere man. Lots of them here, and millions of women driving stock 4x4 SUV's that'll never engage the transfer case in their lifetime too.
I've got 80+k on the set of USED BFG AT's on my old truck, still haven't replaced them though they do need it now. I wanted to go that route on the new truck as well but just couldn't afford it with those damn 20" rims.
Depends on the terrain and the rig. I've see jeeps getting a pull from a big as heavy diesel before and I've seen them drive around stuck trucks too. On the beach if you have a heavy diesel you better have some wide ass tires to spread that weight. Jeeps do pretty well down there, but seems to me a nice light 1/2 ton truck is the best way to go. Jeeps also usually will not be able to pull a heavy stuck truck out of the sand. Now have a good slick mud hole that's got a hard slick bottom and the extra weight on the heavy truck might do better than a jeep. Climbing rocks? Think we all know the answer there, and I think that's where the Lawling one is coming from.

Don't have any on my PC; laptop crashed.
But if you're ever at Pickle Gulch, Stillwater Pass, or Mt. Herman, come at me bro.
Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Colorado trails are thin, tight, and require some sharp adjustments. Trying to fit a diesel rig in a lane that's only 4 1/2" wide, then turn it on top of the climb is going to be impossible. Long wheelbases are your enemy on Colorado trails.Near, far, wherever you are...
