It's sad and tragic when a life is taken too soon. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

I do not post much here anymore, but was floored and speechless when I got the text late Sunday evening. Interestingly enough, my last reputation received was from him in a Ross Erstling thread. And that brought a happy (yet sad) smile to my face and this is how I will remember him. Someone who was intelligent and full of humor, entertaining many on this forum.
I am terribly saddened by the news and grieve for those who knew him on a more personal basis, particularly Josh and Joey's family. You are all in my thoughts."Every time you think you know what these markets can do, something else happens." - Brian Hunter, Amaranth Advisors

Anyone willing to donate products, please PM me with details
We will be gathering items from now until the auction. I personally want to thank everyone who can donate. I haven't posted here much in the past year and for as much as this place can be cluttered with BS, it's time like these that make me miss the community.

I can’t say that I knew Placebro well just some threads that I have seen him respond to whenever I was online. When Mike sent me the email this morning asking for our help, I was able to tell that this had impacted him and new that it was important that Genomyx was on board not only to help support Placebro but to help support Mike who is part of our family. After reading this and a couple of other threads, I can see how many people loved and respected him. To me there’s nothing more impressive than someone who touches and leaves there mark on the lives of others. Our prayers are with everyone that has been impacted by this especially his family. I agree with a previous poster that situations like this make you think twice about what’s really important in your life.

So very sad news.
Joey was good people in every dealing I had with him and his personality was truly unique. His trademark wit and humor was irrepressible as was his distaste for corruption and deception - and he wasn't afraid to speak up and do something about it.
More could be said, but at the end this truth resounds: everything he touched in the world is less of a place without him. It's hard to win an argument with a smart person. It's damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person. - Bill Murray
