Thanks Hobbes. When I planned it out I just wanted to make sure I was warmed up and mentally ready but not too tired for a good try at a new gym PR. 900 feels very far away if I match all my current brotal at a meet I'd be at about 832 which is not bad but I'd still be about 45# shy of elite (875). I'm eventually headed to the 148 wt class but not before I'm 165 elite.
Thanks This workout was the 1st time I used the knee wraps. Didn't do any fancy weaving nor was it as tight as some of the youtube video show. No clue if reps done with them carry over to w/o wraps. I do know I felt more confident with them on, made the #20 jump seem less daunting. I guess I could have tried 285 1st but didn't wanna burn out before I got closer to what I really want which is 3pps.
The Churchill quote lol is one of my favorites too . . . the original one about drinking is great - assuming anyone was stupid enough to walk up to me and insult my drinking habits I'd use it - the obi-wan edited version is pretty funny as well. She came up with that when a kind lady on here pointed out that being fat I know nothing. Not that I think I've ever claimed I knew anything correct me if I'm wrong on that. If I had room in the sig would add "I'm still fat, still know nothing but I'm working out anyways"
Played in the mirror with the cam this morning and I will trim out some pics for future reference to just how fat I iz. If obi-wan approves I may post em. Sitting here wishing I had not deleted the one's I had up last year that way we could see a years progress.
Thanks Tina The walk out was a feat in and of itself . . .
As for the jump in wt I actually find #30 jumps to be the worst not the #20's as I figure it's only 10 per leg and I have big legs so no problem right.

Someone on here was rude about your weight??? Grrrrr. That makes me so.mad. Bitch probably lifts a quarter of what you do.
FWIW I find that the women on here who are actually really strong, like you and Tina and Hammie, are always kind and supportive to people like me who aren't and who are fumbling along trying to get better and I for one really appreciate it. Y'all could be rolling your eyes and being snotty about our crappy lifts and you don't. So it especially pisses me off that some c-word (um nice lady) would be rude to you."Eat some oatmeal, do some squats, how hard is that seriously."--Prof Ham

. . . can't say I'm disappointed as I've been training for PL not appearances.
I won't whine (much) . . . I'll embed the back view below . . . almost have some taper.
Anyways will continue on the long slow road to getting leaner and by 2014 I'll be in 148 wt class.

first, that back is beautiful. Really beautiful.
second, while i want to be shocked by what someone said to you, i am not. it still makes me crazy mad and also a bit boohoo that people are like that, but plain fact is they are. everywhere in this world, but esp around bodybuilding.com, where bias against the dreaded F word is disproportionate.
i get offended rather frequently when i leave the safe ladies journaling section.
and i agree with dreahere. obviously. you strong strong women have been unwavering in your support of all of us who are trying to learn this stuff and i'm so glad you're here.

You look good. No question at all that you lift/have muscle and you're a nice level of lean. If you maintained around 155, you could just drop water down to the 148 class - you might even be able to do that now. I think a few other women PLers do that. But if you get elite at 160 class, then you'll be super elite at 148?
Just ignore those other people. That kind of stuff just plays with my head.
Have you made a plan for those 21 days between the meets? that's a decent amount of time, you should be able to do well at both.http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=172554141

Hey Drea
Being a mostly BB / appearances focused site it's kinda really not about # lifted so . . . . anyways being in the 110 range she lifts less, no biggie, If she lifted more I would bow and kiss her feet (not srs ) . . . the offensive statement was over a year ago so I'm not holding (ok trying not to hold) a grudge. Everyone has to start somewhere and being snotty about my strength gains would just be silly. If anyone ever feels like I'm being an ass or snotty call me on it please.
I'm glad to be supportive of everyone who's not being a bytch. The Amazons whose journals I post in are people I can most relate to, there are plenty of others I visit but don't post in, but that said I salute/encourage the hard work and effort the lot of us puts in. Reading in this section is what finally got me stop playing at what I thought was heavy lifting and actually go for it . . . workout logs stoked my competitive streak {{{Thank you ladies}}}. If the "oh look how skinny fat" I'm post'er could do the same thing I'd either give in an really cut or be depresses as hell at the slow pace of my progress . . . lulz . . . note I'm not depressed nor on a cut . . . Back and shoulders look great!! ... and like Romina said... no fat, just some hard-earned muss-kle.
And seriously... some people are just so unsatisfied with themselves that it spills over on how they treat others. Kinda makes you wish you had an irl ignore button. Pay them no mind hun. You just do yo thang and keep being awesome!

Mirin' that back pic, you certainly do have a nice taper there, I would be forever thrilled if I could look that solid with a taper, I'm pretty much like a big square right now lol. Always blows my mind that you look 10x leaner than me and we are the same weight with a couple inches difference in height. Good job Bea woman!
THIS, really no need to walk around at 148 all the time I don't think, you're carrying the 160 in muscle as it is.
As for the comment, meh, idiots gonna idiot. I've noticed a lot of people who either are newer or who don't really get anywhere with their programs get pretty defensive around here. Lots of those posts about "I'm not making any progress, help!" yet when people tell them to track marcos, lift heavy, and rest they do nothing but argue and claim they are somehow "special" - oh I can't lose wt cause I have superhuman genes, oh I don't need protein I'll be fine, oh I can't squat because I will get too muscular. Everybody's got different goals too, I don't hate on the people around here who just want to be lean and don't care about lifting #s, PLers seem to take a lot of abuse around here though, dunno why.
Well that was a giant ramble lol.Current PRs:

\/\/ BUMP
That workout may have been short and wore you out but what an incredibly satisfying one!! Fabulous work Bea! And if those knee wraps give you that extra confidence, keep them on! Well done on those PR's
Wow! Talk about aesthetics! You have a nice shape! I'm impressed. Back and shoulders revealing the work you do, nice muscular bod there! V-Taper there! Take it easy on "the long road to getting leaner - 148wt class...cutting does make you lose a bit of strength but I am sure you know about that. Oh? Hang on..you don't know anything
I believe you can get to an elite level where you are, it just depends on what you really want to do. You'll kick ass at the 148 level too. Whatever you choose, we'll be cheering you on all the way!
You are one of the nicest people on this site and could look down on all of us if you wanted(at 5'2 -wear heels) ..besides, you've earned the right to do so. uh oh now I've touched on another thing people get uptight - height. Short guys are called manlets does that make us shorties - womanlets??.

Wow B Your back looks awesome! I think with the way you've been slowly losing while gaining strength you will be absolutely jacked by the time you hit the 148lbs weight class.
I don't venture outside of the female section often or at least post since idiots look at your stats and assume something about you, and you know what they say about assuming lol. I've has to let some snide comments slides off my back, its annoying for sure. At least you have the numbers to back it up Body building can be interpreted in many ways and I think some people get so enamored with the little box that they think the term means they become asshats.
I hope Obi-wan keeps the surgery dressing on! I would be curious though, I was always peaking at wounds and still continue toIf this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

Thanks guys
I'm not minding the idiots . . . like that saying steph " idiots will be idiots" . . . glad I'm looked at as nice and supportive at that's what I'm
I'll take the comment solid vs fat any day As for not needing to walk around at 148 you are correct, I have not been in 145 range since I was 18, only reason to drop more wt is (1) I've still got flubba to lose and (2) I've yet to figure out how to drop 6-8 # of water weight just to make a weigh-in. Not in a hurry as I'd like to preserve . . . no in fact increase my strength so I"m lifting what I do now but with less lardo on the backside.
Oh and I'd like to introduce you all to Obi-wan (okay just her right arm)
Her advise for the day is "Don't ignore tennis elbow. Get it treated sooner rather than later or Yes you'll have a surgeon doing that (look below) to you."
Today the padding was off and she's bashed it she's like 'ummmm I was a bit too curious and almost popped my stitches'. I lulz cause I can't say 'I told you so' . . . new padding has been applied as of this post.Last edited by beatha; 01-15-2013 at 08:12 PM.

Lifetime of hard labor, lifting and the snowboarding didn't help. Tendon was torn, bout 35% was attached, she ignored symptoms and endured pain for years . . . remember last years snowboarding trip Obi-wan had a bad lift get off that aggravated it.

Nice workout long in time but low volume - w/u set then heavy triples (mostly) with the goal being working up to my planned opener. Countdown to meet is at 13 days away so I really only have about 3 more lifting sessions plus 6 mma training the final 3 of which I do not plan to roll just drill.

Hi Red
Thanks, I was kinda shocked at the ease of two fiddy myself but I think the wraps helped, it's like I'm able to focus better on waiting at the bottom to feel my hips get far enough down and my feet to go ah more blood please . . . lol . . . eventually I'll figure out the proper tension levels cause have the foot go numb mid squat does not seem like a good thing at max effort.

Oy today at the gym one of the trainers walked up to me and mentioned watching me squat the 260 the other day . . . wanted to know who coached me . . . total look of shock when I credited youtube mostly, lots of practice w/ vids of self - also not to be forgotten was Kevin's form critique sessions - they helped me refine it as well.
