Jerry is in his bathroom shaving. He thinks. He tilts the mirror down.
Jerry: Hmm. That looks new.
He thinks some more. He picks up his razor.
Kramer: So get this. Peterman has his henchmen forcefully eject me from the book signing like I'm some kind of a maniac.
Jerry: (uncomfortably) Yeah that's too bad.
Kramer: What's the matter with you?
Jerry: (uncomfortably) Nothing.
Kramer: No, no, no. Don't give me that. I know you. Something's wrong. What is it.
Jerry: I did something stupid.
Kramer: What did you do?
Jerry: Well I was shaving. And I noticed an asymmetry in my chest hair and I was trying to even it out. Next thing I knew, (high pitched voice) Gone.
Kramer: Don't you know you're not supposed to poke around down there.
Jerry: Well women do it.
Kramer: (high pitched voice) "Well women do it." I'll tell you what. I'll pick you up a sundress and a parasol and you can just (high pitched voice) sashey your pretty little self around the town square.
Jerry: Well what am I going to tell Alex?
Kramer: Listen to me. You don't tell anybody about this. No one. You hear me?
Jerry: Um hum.
George enters
Kramer: Hey, Jerry shaved his chest.Get your s.hit in order, and get your training in order. Start kicking ass, and take out the crap that doesn't matter. Start doing and believing in the stuff that works, and do it today and forever.

I was just having a conversation with a buddy about this. He had some surgery (new kidney) and they shaved his whole torso. For some reason, they told him to keep the hair off, probably until the kidney takes. He had himself waxed. This is a Mediterranean guy. I imagine the waxing was like waxing a shag carpet. Long story short, he loves it. His wife really loves it.
I have an unattractive jungle on my chest, but I don't think I'd have the patience to shave or the will to pay someone to rip it out with wax.

I'm blond but hairy like an ape. I'll admit I like to keep it trimmed down. It just feels better rather than carrying around a "coat", especially since I live in a hot climate.
Anyway, I just buzz it down but leave enough so as to keep it natural looking. That also avoids razor burn and ingrown hairs.

As someone who has done this a squillion times...the best and only bits of advice and they worked for me..
ONE - absolutely...use a brand new razor for the shave. Not sure why but unless I do...problems ensue
And secondly....go lightly...do not..under any circs....attempt to get a closer and closer shave by pressing harder
Use a good foam and repeatedly, but lightly, get the shave done.
Went from where you are...to having no problems whatsoever!Last edited by yakabebe; 10-02-2011 at 04:52 PM.

If a guy's working harder than me - doing more than me - he fking well deserves to beat me.
Simple plan.

I pretty my mow the chest and back a couple times a year. I have tried shaving to bareskin, but the itchyness drives me insane. I usually use clippers and a #1 or #2 attachment - so while I have chest (and back hair - ugh), its well groomed and even. If I use the #1 attachment, I actually look smooth from a distance. The wife is not overly keen when its so short, because apparently I feel like sandpaper.
I don't bother with legs, ass, or arms. Just shoulders chest and back.
I have tried waxing a couple times. And though it leaves you feeling very very smooth, you still have the possibility of ingrown hairs - so you gotta use baby oil to keep the skin supple. Oh and waxing stings like crazy!
