    Starting Strength off days?

What can you do on off days that will not effect recovery? Cardio? Abs? What?

the whole point of sn off day is to rest, you're taxing your system lifting so just take it easy on rest days, if you want, maybe some very light cardio, but no additional lifting, your abs will get worked enough with the compound lifts

Haha I see the trend. I guess I'll stick to the book and save it up for those 3 days as I have been. I have my own weight room adjacent to the kitchen, so you get a lil anxious on those off days.

Just work on recovery, it'll pay off as your training progresses. Mobility work and foam rolling is a good start.

Any training on that particular day can really hinder recover. When strength training it is not only necessary to let the muscles being trained to recovery, but also your nervous system as well. The nervous system feeds the muscles and let them grow.

You should be stretching everyday, regardless if it's a workout day or not. Foam rolling helps quite a bit as well.
