I love getting into a port call overseas after 3-5 weeks at sea and finding that Erik did some 3-4 challenges already! I should not be surprised anymore at that. Guy is killing it! I live through him and his challenges as I have 0 chance to do any such things living afloat and spinning circles out in the gulf on deployment. Middle Eastern cities do not have crap for challenges and even then its not with the foods I would dare eat in mass quantity.
Missed my ritualistic birthday slice of giant carrot cake this year for my birthday (big ole 31 this year) as we were out to see. In port this week now but I cant find crap for anything remotely like carrot cake here in Bahrain. Must be 10+ years since I missed not having this! So not cool!
How you all been lately by the way!?
I'm down almost 20lbs in 14 weeks from all my damn fitness classes, 100+ degree temps and no means to make my own meals anymore while living afloat. I'm lucky its only 20 to be god honest!
Miss you guys!

Erik, challenges look good as always!
been meaning to ask, but feel free to say its too personal etc.
but do you get any money for these challenges/ youtube videos? I know that you get money for some of the challenges and the actual competitions, but do you get anything for these "10,000 cal" videos?"Weights, Plates... you what???? can't wait for this.
thanks for the response. I just wasn't sure because I remembered you saying that you were offered by a company (if I recall) to pay you for your channel, but abstained from the offer.
I was curious because I figured you were getting something based on the frequency of the challenges now lol. Still biking lots?"Weights, Plates... Determining My own Fate": http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=164857211

true, I just found it funny that all the other states ~4-5 (with the exception of California), and Texas had 26 cities. Reading it more in depth now I am seeing "both locations", "all locations" on a few. So I didn't realize that the other places, for example the state of Georgia only having 3 locations. They may not, because these are only participating locations.
you may not be tracking with my thought process here. Basically I was assuming their were a bunch of locations in each state, however it appeared that Texas was the only state that had a large proportion of participants. Next time I will think more prior to posting."Weights, Plates... Determining My own Fate": http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=164857211

i've noticed a lot of these places (well in Australia anyways) are moving towards a free "NEXT" meal rather then the challenge meal being free. Kinda pisses me off that they do this..

yup its a bit far for me as well, well mileage wise (90 miles) but that bay area traffic just in general means it will probably be a 2.5hr drive. looks pretty tasty though, and thinking this burrito challenge might be a bit more manageable then the first one I tried..
