So D gave up 4 TDs to a Panthers team that hadn't gotten a TD in 3 games. I mean, I wasn't one of the people that thought the D would be god-tier after the acquisitions, but I also didn't think it would be THIS bad.

Lot of miscommunication in the secondary. Combine that with sub-par linebackers and a mediocre pass rush and you get a wide open middle of the field + blown coverages with plenty of time for the QB to diagnose the "defense" and make the play. We need to go to a more blitz man concept and just live and die with the results, because zone isn't working.

It's officially time to raise the red flag on this defense. This is beginning to seem like a 2011 replay. Another embarrassing defensive performance, while Tom Brady is left to try and bail them out.

Yeah, which will really hurt our defense. We'll effectively have no pass rush, which puts everything on the secondary while the opposing QB has time to throw. That's a recipe for disaster when facing any reasonably good team. Opposing offenses will put up a lot of points and Brady will be forced to make up for it every game.Originally Posted by Twerk4it

Chiefs fan here.. One of my best friends is a Pats fan so I follow you guys pretty closely. I hate to see all the injuries being dealt to you guys. Edelman and now Hightower that just sucks. You can't replace those guys but if anyone can fight through adversity it is the Pats..
