not a bad draft overall... perhaps the LB talent wasn't there but at least we have hope that 1 of those 3 guys can make a dif next year.

Not exactly the power draft I hoped for with two first round and two second round picks. A couple of the picks were headscratchers. It was a typical Bill draft.

I'm happy where we are this off season. I don't know enough about college football and drafting, but it seems BB and company got the players they felt make the team better. We've addressed a number of defensive needs and our offense is going to be even better this year.
I'm very excited about Michel. Dude was a stud in college. RB rotation will be interesting this year, but with the kind of offense they like running, our backs are going to be giving us good match ups outside.
Now we wait until the season starts back upNew England Patriot

It's hard to argue against Belichick and company, but I've heard from the Patriots rep (I forget his name) say that they like Etling because he takes care of the ball. 16 TDs and 2 INTs last season. Potential + time to develop under Brady. Also, if Brady plays for another year or two, why "waste" higher drafts picks on someone who won't see the field for a year or two versus picking up players that could be game changers right away.

We have a ton of ****ty rbs that can't take over games....they each play a role and chip in but if Michel ends up being a homerun hitter then our offense will improve tremendously and keep Brady fresher all season....not mad at the pick but still wish we picked up one more LB or secondary help that being said we are banking on getting players back from last year that didn't get to play due to injuries

A bunch of "shi**y rbs that can't take over games"...? Are you serious? There were games last season that Lewis or Burkhead more than carried the load to help win us games. Plus, White in the Super Bowl against the Falcons I think would qualify as taking over a game. No, we don't have a feature back like some other teams, but that's by design. Our offense thrives because we can play multiple RBs and create mismatches for our offense. I think Michel is going to fit in really nicely.

In a recent interview, Brady was asked if he feels appreciated by the Patriots organization. His answer: "I plead the 5th..." When asked if he's happy, his response: "I have my moments."
With all the reports out there and the comments made during his Tom vs Time documentary, it makes me wonder if these rumors have some truth to them about him not happy and the organization at battle with each other. Craft, Belichick, and Brady all seem like people who are out to do one thing and that's win. They seem like people even if they aren't getting along they will put it aside and do what they need to to win because they know together they're one of the best teams in the league.
I'm hoping they can put whatever issues they have aside and win another Superbowl this year.New England Patriot

Who cares about Brady being appreciated by Belichick. Thats not Beli's job to pump his ego or show appreciation while hes still playing...that will come later when both retire.
The media has changed sports and many different avenues in every industry. Gossip and rumors sell more than ever and people love reading about it...especially a celebrated athlete like Brady. His legacy speaks for itself.
On the draft, there was some obvious head scratchers but overall this draft seemed very sterile. A couple decent Qbs....a few decent RBs...WRs - pretty terrible. One really good Olineman. 1 solid DE....average LBs/ CBs.
Training Camp hasnt even started- thats when you start feeling out your roster. Pats are usually active during that period...its all wait and see at tbis point.

Media gossip has it that Baker Mayfield's agent said the Pats were willing to trade up to No 2 to take him. Don't think I buy that. But of course the spin was how will Brady take the news. IDK. I was at the gym and First Take was on. I just saw the headline.

That move doesn't make sense to me and think it's a bunch of BS. Were the Patriots supposed to give up a bunch of picks to the Giants who were dead set on Barkley? Nah. Mayfield's agent just trying to create buzz to make the Browns not look so stupid taking him at #1.

Yeah BB would get rid of his 1s and 2s round pick for ONE guy... good luck with that; sound like BS to me. I was actually expecting BB to trade down and change those 1s rounds picks for like 10 pics lol

wish they would take a look at these 2 guys....
DRC is still available (still need corner help) - need more vets - less young talent at cb.
Kendricks cut by philly--- 100% need more LB help.
Still around that could help
- Antonio Gates (red zone nuisance with gronk - something Allen never became)
- Bowman - lets be honest, Hightower is probably not going to play every game. Feel much better with someone like this holding down the young talent around him
- Pacman. Is pretty much an older malcolm butler. Older but competitive as they come
- Gang of WRS. Maclin, Dez, Decker, Marshall
We all know how the pats roll....they wont consider these guys unless they are available for dirt which will come after injuries play out in training camp.

It's funny to read Marsh crying about his time in New England. While I think the Patriots organization might not be as lenient on certain things and keeps their players in check, I think he speaks only for a select few about it not being fun.
I'm excited to see Derek Rivers play this year. He's coming off a torn ACL and saying he feels like a better player now because of it. I think he could be really good this year. Also, it's nice to see Edelman and Hightower back on the field. Less than 100 days until the season. Can't come soon enough.
Also, can't wait for Dez to take a team friend contact with us this yearNew England Patriot

Hightower still not 100% with that shoulder and TBH he is starting to look like Mayo with that injury. We are going to need LB help...
Maybe the Pats can babysit HT so he can play the post season the same way they did with Amendola."Paper money is going away" - EM
