He has the potential being a sought after draft pick (2nd round I think) and great resources in New England to learn and develop like you said. I thought the Pats ran a really vanilla offense when he was playing which is why I don't think he's ready for being a franchise type QB. I'd love to see him do well, but my guess is he would be pretty mediocre where ever he goes.

man i am getting PUMPED for the game!!!!
any predictions???
the more I hear the more I think Pats are going with a run heavy plan; Atl can't stop the run so it is a double win win:
1. Manage the clock and the Atl O possessions
2. Set up the deep ball play actions!

I don't think its not going to be a high scoring game.
NE always plays with a lead so they can play a certain defence.
Corners are good enough to hold the back end. If they can stop the Atlanta running backs this should be in hand.
Should be a good game regardless.I measly rep back, always.

Haven't been in here all season so in b4 the jynx
I absolutely love this matchup and am probably the least nervous I've ever been leading up to a SB. So many things are pointing towards a Patriots victory and if they execute (read: don't drop a bunch of balls and turn it over like against Hou) this game won't be competitive for long. The four things Patriots fans should know leading up to this game are pretty simple.
1) ATL can't stop Brady:
Pretty simple but there are a number of reasons why. Falcons fans and the rest of the NFL who are pulling for them would have you belive that the Falcons give up a lot of yards and points because they are always playing with a lead. The truth is, playing with a lead doesn't preclude you missing tackles which is something NE thrives on. ATL is a bottom 3 or 4 tackling team and their worst tackler is the man who will be tasked with covering Edleman in the slot. Edleman will have a huuuuge day, look for Brady to target him early and often.
2) ATL can't stop Blount/Lewis:
Again, pretty straight forward and they'ed have you believe that all of their defensive problems and question marks are because they are playing with a lead. The thing is they are better at stopping the run playing at home where they are more likely to be in control of the game. The Patriots aren't an explosive run offense, they're a complimentary and grinding run offense who will move the ball in chungs against any falcons front geared at stopping Brady. The major problem with this game from a Falcons perspective is that they are going to have to sell out to try and stop the Patriots offense either running or passing. They're going to have to either drop 7 and home the 2nd best right tackle in football performs like the can's that Beasily has feasted on or they're going to have to bring 8 in the box and get killed in play action. Either way the one QB who can diagnose almost everything that happening before it happens is on the other side. Don't forget how much of an effect this will have on the Falcons offense.
3) Sanu will be an absolute non factor
Once again, very straight forward. Ryan is built to cover Sanu. They're the same size and Ryan is significantly faster. The only true matchup advantages ATL has is Julio (who will undoubtedly be doubled) and their backs (but not coming out of the backfield, rather split out wide). New England will dare Ryan to go to Julio, its just what they do defensively. This is philosophiccally what GB did early against Julio, the problem was they're so decimated that ATL had the advantage in every single other matchup. This is the opposite of New Englands #1 ranked scoring defense. I hope to see Butler locked up on Gabriel compeltely taking him out of the game as well.
4) ATL needs a lead to play their game whereas New England can just keep it close:
for all the talk about Matt Ryan's MVP season, he has thrown a lot of late interceptions in close games. He litterally threw away the KC game at home lol. Tom Brady hasn't. Matty Ice cold is still Matty Ice cold, nobody has turned the heat up against him in the playoffs when it comes to pressure. Wait until Brady is on the other sideline walking up and down the field against ATL's suspect defense. If you force the Falcons to go score for score with the #1 ranked scoring defense, this game won't be close.
Prediction: New England wins the toss and takes the ball first just like against Pitt. ATL gets put in a whole early and falls behind at halftime 21-10. They just don't come up with enough stops in the second half as Brady puts up another couple of scores late in the third into the 4th. Ryan tries to force a score halfway through the 4th and Blount kills the game off.

I've been a Patriots fan for about four days now and it's been pretty good so far. Hoping they can win the match on Sunday as my other team, the Golden State Warriors are looking pretty good this season too.

Yeah... at first I was a little nervous and talking the "It's going to be a good game" jazz. Nope. The Pats are going to stomp the Falcons. Falcons thrive on YAC... Pats allow the fewest YAC in the league. ATL can't stop the run or the pass. Alex Mack is banged up. Atlanta can't tackle. ATL will try to stack receivers to create confusion, and it isn't gonna work. Sick of all of the disrespect. At first it was "the Steelers have the perfect weapons to cause trouble!"... now it's "Pats haven't played a good offense" lmao. You think Atlanta's backfield is going to cause a problem when Pittsburgh couldn't? To top that all off, Matt Ryan has never excelled under real pressure his entire career. Bill is going to challenge him to fit balls into tight windows, and I have full confidence he's going to miss the mark and give us a few. Patriots win it by at least 15. 35-20

I don't think Brady retires. When he says he'll play till he sucks I think he means it.
The guy is still pissed that he was a 6th round draft pick and has been embarrassing the 31 other teams for 15 years.
I don't think he's going to give it up. I also think he has few more SB in him.
I am pumped for this game. Let's GO.I measly rep back, always.

If Brady wins, he cements GOAT status, and I don't think anyone comes close. Lets go through his receiving troupe
Julian Edelman - Former Kent State QB turned WR, 7th round pick
Chris Hogan - Career lacrosse player, played one year of football prior to going pro... undrafted.
Danny Amendola - Former undrafted free agent
Malcolm Mitchell - Highest drafted WR by the Patriots in 5 years, still a rookie.
Michael Floyd - Cut from his team for being a detriment to the team and getting a DUI.
Rob Gronkowski - HOF TE, Out
Martellus Bennett - Most injured player on the Pats, I'll give him credit, if he was Gronk he'd have missed 2 seasons by now.
Matt Lengel - I think I got his name right, wasn't on the roster to start the season, Practice Squad TE on any given team.

There is no way in hell that he retires after this game, no matter the outcome. Kraft was asked about Belichick the other day as well, and he said that Belichick knows when he himself is going to retire, and that Kraft is the only other person that knows when, but can assure everyone that it won't be next year.
When Brady retires, I am guessing that will be when he wants to spend even more time with his family. I can't see someone with his competitive nature retiring when he has some great offensive weapons, a much improved offensive-line, and a number one ranked defense that is YOUNG.
I checked last night, and a lot of great potential "bump" threads were locked after the Patriots v.s. Seahawks Super Bowl.
Let's hope for a big Patriots win!*Looking at sats makes me cry crew*

**** off. You're not having him.
Apparently Pats expect him to play another 3-5 years. Looking to extend this off season.
He has been dealing with family issues. I think his mother has cancer.
But I don't want him to retire till he is absolutely done. Same for Bill.I measly rep back, always.

LOL.....I swear, the fact that Brady has to win this game to still try and cement is GOAT status is ridiculous. Does he also need to save a family of 4 from a burning building and cure cancer as well to solidify it?
Everyone says how he had great defenses in his first 3 superbowls. He brought a team with literally no offence to the 2006 AFC champoinship game, and they lost due to a Caldwell drop and the refs/pumping in crowd noise. He would have destroyed the Bears.
I seriously hope Brady has no internet access, b/c reading things like this is absolutely absurd. And I'm not even a Manning hater.
1) Brady
2) Manning
3) Montana/Marino
4) Just shut the fuk up cause no one cares

Agreed and repped.
Nailing Moss with 2min to go in SB42 shows he does his part, Brady can't play defense.
in SB46, Branch and Hernandez dropped 2 consecutive passes on Brady's final drive @ 57 secs that would of set them up near the red zone instead of going for a hail mary.
TBrady is the undisputed GOAT with what should of been 7 rings.
