The only thing I have noticed with eating a lot of protein in one sitting along with carbs, and fats...so not just a steak. Is that a very high amount of protein (~80g or more) in one sitting doesn't sit extremely well for me...not sure why. But I also don't require an insanely high amount of protein compared to some...just some Food for thought

The OP could also be re-written as:
- If you pour water down the sink, how much water will go down the sink? What the is the most amount of water you can put in the sink at one time?
- In a traffic tunnel, how many cars from you put through the tunnel?
- What is the best amount of gas to put in your gas tank when filling up?
The answer is the same: you can put in as much as you want so long as it will fit (ie - you don't vomit)."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

I assume the OP is talking about consuming straight whey protein? and if so it's not the same as just eating meat.

I have one meal per day where I eat 180 grams of protein and it is about 1500-1600 calories...Doesn't matter when you get your protein. I used to believe in the 5-6 meal per day thing and have seen greater gains eating my protein in 3 meals per day then 5-6 with protein spaced out..

Man, this thread got off topic real quick didn't it lol... Well to answer your question as directly as I can, Yes! You can eat as much protein in 1 sitting as you want/can. The problem is your body will use only what it can and discard the rest (our bodies do not store protein that's why we need to consume it every 3 hours) So in the ever expensive world we live in we try to put in what we can actually use; which will be a different number for each of us. My number is about 40 grams of protein per meal every 3 hours which ends up being 240 grams of protein for the day after my 6th meal. Hope this helps. As far as all the steak talk in this thread, it's making me hungry! I have a cheat day coming up; got that 16 oz Rib Eye on my sights ;-)
