okay so i'm freshman. there this girl in my class, i like her. so i started talking about gym and bench press to impress this girl. and my friends go head and say they can bench press 225 and they are not that big, i know they are lying because it took them so long to answer when i asked them how much they can bench press. i can bench press 125-130 probably 8 times. **** people who lie

You're doing it wrong. Stop trying to brag about your 125lb bench press, you'll just come off sounding wierd. No 14 year old girl cares how much you bench either. I generally don't share specifics with people unless they train as well. Sure, I could tell someone that I can squat and DL 415lbs, but if that person doesn't lift, how the hell are they supposed to put that in perspective? If you're trying to pull chicks, worry about dem' aesthetics and not how much you can bench.

You're benching your weight for reps. Thats great. Now bulk up, gain some weight, some muscle. Also When people say what they can bench they're normally referring to a 1 rep max. At this weight you can basically take the first rep and each thereafter add 5 pounds. So you can bench 160 1 time. It's more than 5 lbs once you get into the heavy weights but you can get a rough estimate with simple math.

Talking about training in public isn't weird if you get bombarded with questions about it in public on a daily basis. I myself have had the most interesting conversations occur the past two days involving training. It helps me put into perspective what I already know.
It's dumb to talk about in an attempt to impress a girl, but then again most things are. It's little more than irrelevant nonsense, especially at the tender age of fourteen.550/385/655, 285 overhead press, 330 push jerk, 250 weighted dip, 190 weighted pull-up, 413.8 max weighted pull-up, 450 front squat, 365 RFESS, 305 x 2 log press, 400 (per arm) farmer's carry, 370 atlas stone, 31 pull-ups at 247.
