I am going to buy some jeans here soon and have been debating buying some expensive jeans rather than my normal levi 514s. Will I (and other people) actually be able to tell the difference looks wise? I'm happy with levis but with how often I wear jeans if it is going to look better I figured it might be worth the extra cash. I just want simple jeans, no bedazzling or big crosses stitched on them or anything like that. Some that I have looked at (literally only looked, was in a hurry so didn't try them on) are lucky, joe's, and 7 so opinions on those would be appreciated too.

    Cliffs:
    -usually buy levi 514s
-wear jeans daily so debating buying a more expensive pair
-what brands are worth the money and which aren't?

You will definitely be able to tell a difference between the levis and some good raw denim.

Check out the APC new standard, no crazy stitching or logos and a good slim-straight fit

How long does it take them to get broken in like this? Ive never had raw denim, and brand new it looks way to perfect to me but I like the worn in look. Any advice?

Do you wash raw denim also?

    Thanks

I own a couple, but they are not necessarily fashionable unless you are in to pure streetwear stuff. I throw one on to dress down an outfit (within reason) when i know I'm walking into a spot where I am overly dressed. Make sure to take off all the stickers and stuff, and keep the colors simple don't get a neon orange with green hat.

Unless you wear them hard (biking, skating, lots of walking, you get the idea) it will take around 6 months..

I have a pair that looks a bit more faded then that and i wore them for 3 months straight, biked about 80-100 miles a week in them though..

I LOVE the look of raw denim but I always worried about them rubbing off on white furniture and I don't wanna be asking people for a towel every time I sit down at their house to keep from buying them a new couch. Does that really happen?

Most raw jeans will not bleed past 1-2 weeks... I had a pair of Samurai's and Flatheads that lost color for 3-4 weeks...

That actually makes me really want a pair, that is one thing that really kept me from getting raw denim so far.

De Niros jacket looks like a surplus M-65, you can buy them from almost any surplus store but they will probably fit you like they fit him, like a sack. Check out armysurplusworld.com (sorry can't link yet brah). But you could find a shet load of different variations on that style, just about every company to design clothes, ever, has made an M-65 jacket at some point.

haha, nah bro. It was extremely hot and humid out there so I'm pretty sure that's just sweat, although we did all jump in the pool during the wedding party. Was fun and refreshing ass hell

I have a pea-coat in black, but I wanted one in grey:

I'll probably wear the pea-coat with this scarf that I bought a while ago (different brand, different color scheme):

I bought a toque to go with it; it looks very similar to this:

The jacket/toque ended up being 41$ in total; I'm cool with that. I will probably look at buying some new boots in a few weeks; something like these would be nice:

    Or, these with different laces:

raw denim is for people that want to have their tailored jeans truely tailored by their bodies. with daily use, your jeans start to reflect you exact body without being to tight nor loose. once broken in, depending on what you do / did, they change color slightly to moderatly and have their own wash. they are pre-washed jeans. raw. their sick.

you don't wash them for atleast 6 months, just wear them to bed, to school, to the grocery store at 3am. grow a custom towards fabric freshners and ways to prevent smoke odor if you smoke or your friends do

So are you speaking of jeans that are bought in stores or tailored out of raw denim? I'm sorry, I find your answer a bit confusing.

On an aside, do beige boots go with black jeans or khakis? I've never owned a fashionable pair of boots and don't know where to start.
