Just before my flag football game, a man in an 80's model chevy truck lost control & flipped his truck end over end. Wasnt wearing his seatbelt and was ejected through the windshield. The truck landed on him & obviously killed him instantly. All within 300-400 feet of us. People were sprinting over there to help, others screamed in terror. Shook me up big time. Something I'll remember the rest of my life.
Sounds cheesy, but tell the people close to you that you love them because you never know when you won't be able to.

It's tough to see that. Sucks man. You're right - I doubt any of us tells our loved ones we love them near enough.
You holding up?Clear eyes, full heart: can't lose.

Thanks, yeah I'm thankful no one else was hurt. There's a park there and it was full of kids. I understand that stuff like that happens but it's hard to explain to little kids what happened ya know?
I've seen people take their last breath on their deathbed before, but it's different when you aren't expecting to see it
Yep. Thanks! I gave my son & wife extra kisses tonight..

That is terrible. I feel sorry for the kids that witnessed that and for the parents who have to explain it to them. It is enough to shake anyone up and get them thinking more about how they live their daily lives when it comes to loved ones.
At the same time my jaded world view kicks in and I start wondering if the driver was intoxicated, in which case I personally do not feel as bad.

That sucks. Glad everyone else was ok.
My Grandfather worked construction for TVA years ago, and saw a guy get killed by a steel I beam. It was being hoisted up by a crane and the chain snapped and dropped it from 50-60' up. Poor guy was walking underneath and never saw it coming. My Grandfather yelled at him to get out of the way, but it was too late and watched the guy get smashed. He had nightmares about that for years. There is no spoon.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For I am the baddest man in the valley.

Yeah the truck had pipes on it so you could hear him coming around the corner going way too fast & then about 4 seconds of tires screeching & then when he hit the curb, you could hear glass breaking & metal being crushed. Only being a few hundred yards from the whole thing, you could hear just about everything.
