So i finally got a new phone after months of using an iphone 3gs with a cracked screen. Have 3 weeks to.decide if i want it or trade for the iphone4. Its a samsung infuse droid powered phone. Negatives of samsung(droid) so far-the huge screen drains the battery pretty fast. The app for.this site lags more than iphone(which i use the app alot)
positives- huge 4.5 inch screen, 8 mp camera,hd video, flash player, more free apps ect.
CLIFFS- Iphone or samsung infuse(droid)??

I was in the same boat. Just got the infuse after switching from 3Gs. I like the camera a lot, and that's a big selling point for me. The biggest thing for me was getting used to the android operating system, but it's ok once you figure it out. The battery drains pretty quickly but if you plug it in at night it's not a huge deal unless you're on the phone all the time.
Are you on ATT. I was and they told me I had a month to bring it back if I didn't like it, but when I called them later they said, "Oh, well there will be a $30 restocking fee if you want to switch." They conveniently forgot to tell me that when I bought the phone.
It takes some getting used to coming from the iPhone, but once you do it's pretty good. I like the infuse now, and I'll probably stick with it.Like success, failure is many things to many people. Droid. Have an HTC sensation & it's great. The big screen / burly processor burns battery, but it's worth it.

I have an EVO, my gf has an iPhone. Here's the comparison:
Battery: Advantage iphone by a mile. Her phone could last a week, mine maybe 2 days.
Signal Strength: Varies by location. I'd call this in her favor by about 55/45.
Features: Mine because I rooted it. I use my phone as a wifi hotspot (For free, f u sprint) frequently. I also have more free stuff in mine. For someone a little more tech savvy, I would favor the Droid substantially. For cleaner tech interaction, the iphone.
Cost: Mine by a little bit. Some of the pay features I have free due to rooting it. She also ends up paying for more stuff in any given month.
Camera: Mine by quite a bit.
Security: This is an interesting one. Our company systems allow access thru all mac products now, but not droids. So if I wanted to sync onto my company email, I couldn't do it with my Evo. I'm not sure when/if this will happen, but it could make a substantial difference.
Overall, I like the open nature of droid more, which is why I went this direction. If I didn't care and wanted a simple phone that had a sht-ton of capabilities, I would pick an iPhone.*Unaesthetic Crew* Disregard V-Taper, Acquire PRs.

FYI, if you double tap the space bar sometimes it will put a period, you can change the auto correct features.
I am personally struggling with this as my 2 years is up on my droid in November. I think for somebody that is non tech savvy, the Iphone is the way to go. For tech savvy users the droid gives you much more freedom and ability to watch flash, etc. I was considering developing apps, which is free to do for droid. The biggest deal breaker for me is keyboard. If the iPhone had a keyboard I would choose the iphone come November. I just can't deal with a keyboard that takes up half the precious screen real estate and is designed for pencil fingers. Now if this is your primary music device and you use iTunes already then that is another huge consideration. Good luck, I am still contemplating my upcoming decision.2 time survivor of The Great Misc Outages of 2022

Not a lot, but I visit a bunch of sites frequently on it. Net navigation is pretty slick with the evo, I do like it better than surfing on her iphone. I tend to limit my playing time on the evo due to the terrible battery life. I would suspect a dual core + AMOLED screen would take care of it, which I think is the next big generation leap for droids.
Something else worth mentioning - you can replace and upgrade droid-based phone batteries. I believe you have to send in iphones to get the batteries redone which is more expensive.*Unaesthetic Crew* Disregard V-Taper, Acquire PRs.

I have a motorola droid 2 right now, my fiance has an iphone 3gs. To be honest I like the Iphone better. I have some cow-workers that swear by the iphone 4. I am not really too sure about the samsung though. I had a samsung alias before my droid which I really liked but it was not a smartphone. I've been pretty much converted to apple products by my fiance though, using a Mac right now and it is so much better than my old pc. Seriously considering upgrading to Iphone 5 when it comes out.
Cliffs:
I'd get the Iphone.

To give a little perspective. Ive had the phone off the charger for about 4 hrs(using it pretty frequently) and im at about 50% battery. My 3gs is still being used as my ipod so i can charge when i.hit the gym. Idk though, battery life is pretty crucial for me, being that i.frequent this site on my phone only and need it for.buisiness calls also. Anyone know of possible iphone5 release dates? I.havent seen anything yet. This screen size and browsing options are pretty convincing though. I feel lost!

By any chance do you have wi-fi and/or bluetooth enabled? Cause on mine those are both battery hogs for sure. Also, turning the screen black out settings down a bit can help. And download a task killer app to kill background processes that stay open in the background.
