Currently 19.5 lbs wanting to cut to 18 lbs.

    Hi guys,

My friend weights 19.5 lbs and wants to get shredded to impress the bishes. He doesn't lift but says he will start if that's what he needs to do. He's a big fan of crossfit (HIIT, digging holes, chasing squirrels, etc.) although I've been trying to convince him crossfit is on some ****gy time. He has always eaten clean, mostly Eukanuba and Greenies but occasionally eats fallen Pop Tarts or Cookies that are held too close to the ground. He's moderately active but lays around a lot. I am assuming he's around 15% bodyfat so I came up with these calories/macros:

Using this calculator: TDEE = ~678 calories
    Protein minimum (1g/lb of LBM) = 16.5g
    Fat minimum (0.45g/lb of LBM) = 7.5g

I recommended him that he start at a 10% deficit which would be 610 calories/day and work down slowly. Im teaching him to count calories but it's kind of difficult since he can't count numbers.

As far as exercise goes Im having trouble coming up with a routine for him. It will certainly involve four-legged squats, doglifts and some MISS cardio. Any advice on this part would be really appreciated.

    Thanks guise!
    Best looking NMiscer.

Well I think in general they eat fewer carbs (and therefore much more fat and protein) just because of their diet but they can certainly eat carbs IIFTM. It's kind of like a human on a low carb diet; the other calories (aside from fat and protein minimums) has to come from somewhere, namely, more fat and protein. If im not mistaken many dog foods are high in carbohydrates.

Actually, one day is seven dog days, so he needs to eat 56 times a day.

I hear that's all pitbull science though.

He's been somewhere reading about bodybuilders who fast for over 20 hours a day. I'm trying to convince him that's broscience and his muscles will fall off.

So 0.134g of protein per meal? Otherwise he'll just piss it out.
