I personally would take Wheybolic post workout only. I would take a BCAA drink like Xtend intra. Pre workout I would have Xtend. Protein shake is not something I want to consume pre workout. Just don't like the feel. Plus Wheybolic is best suited post workout. Save the Wheybolic post and take Xtend pre & intra. It may provide better nutrient timing this way. It will cover your for sure re: Anabolic Window/Workout Time Frame.

Listen OP. Food is first. Get that straight before you even try to open your supplement containers.
2nd of all. It doesn't matter how many scoops of Whey protein you take. Or what kind. Whey is whey. And if you can afford the more expensive kinds and you like them, than go ahead. I recommend bb.com to order from.
Creatine - 5g daily
Protein - As much as you want BUT make sure your not replacing meals. You should be eating as much as possible. I can see a shake post workout doing you good. But thats about it. Maybe right when you wake up in the morning. Food is the most important thing though.
Also, get on a good lifting program that has shown to produce results. 5x5 looks good.
Get good sleep, make sure you have good meals, be patient, persistent and the gains will come. It might take longer than you think but it will be worth it in the end.:+)

Despite what people say....Whey protein is FOOD. WHEY comes from cows. They just isolate it and take away a lot of the fat and carbs. With that in mind, whey with an apple and an egg is a meal....but whole foods are much better. Whole foods fill you up more, take more time to digest, and keep your system running. As for other supplements, yes they work great with food. The only kind of thing you should be iffy about is a pre-workout. You want to take your pre-workout on somewhat of an empty stomach because you want those stimulants (or whatever ingredients they have) to go straight to your body and to be used. Digestion burns energy, and you want to minimize that energy around workout time, so I don't eat an hour before my workout, I take my pre-workouts 30 minutes before, and then hit the weights, end with a post workout meal.
YES-eat food...it's good for you. Don't just rely on supplements. They're called "supplements" for a reason. They're just convenient and effective for certain scenarios. If I'm off to the beach with friends and don't want to destroy my macro ratio, I might drink 3 protein shakes to counteract the fat from the hot dogs and burgers while keeping protein up for example. But food comes first. On days I don't work out, I don't take whey honestly.
