    Should I drink water or juice with my meals?

    Well I often choose to drink juice with my meals to help add some calories and nutrients. However, because of this, I don't drink much water throughout the day, even though I know I should. So what should I do? If I start drinking water, I am missing out on some added calories and nutrients that I could be getting with juice. But if I drink juice, I'm consuming alot of unwanted sugars and missing out on vital water.

    Thanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    IMO.

    Drink water and eat solid food. If you can fit some juice into your macros then drink it. Otherwise I would just eat whole fruit instead.

    1) Suck it up, drink juice with your meals and drink water throughout the day.
    2) Drink water throughout the day and eat more caloric dense food and take a multi.

    Juice is part H2O just so you know.

    Whenever I eat I like to have a flavored beverage as opposed to water (something I've always preferred). I started drinking whole milk with every meal and would recommend the same if you're trying to get extra calories. Much better for you then sugary juice.

    Juice is mostly water. You're not missing out on any H2O by drinking it. Your requisite X glasses of water a day includes *all* sources, not just plain liquid water.

    Hell even meat is most water



    Edit. Come to think of it, I haven't had more than a glass of water a day for a few month now

    ITT: Strong fear of fruit.

    There is nothing wrong with juice or sugar for that matter. Drink it in moderation and have some water as well if you feel you aren't sufficiently hydrated, but your body generally does a good job of regulating your thirst based on its hydration level.
