Man oh MAN that was fun.
Wine.
Women.
Dancing.
Ohhhhh lordy I am still buzzed.
I never drink, so the 4 glasses of wine I had over 5 hours actually got me a good tingle goin.
Needless to say I ate some awesome food:
Lasagna, Garlic bread, Italian Salad, CAKE... CAKE.. CAKE... Upcakes.. and CAKE!!!
THen I danced it up with some fine ladiiiiiies. One in particular was quite friendly. Hardy HOOOOOO yea!!!
Anyway, I just about hit my macros for the day, perhaps 100 or so short of my calorie goal, but easily got my protein and fat in, and plenty of good carbs before going full blast on the partying stuff.
Very fun experience (my first wedding ever) and very happy with the day overal.
Tomorrow will be a lifting day and back on full-calorie plan!
NIGHT EVERYONE!!

I find it hard to imagine you didn't exceed 3000 cals. The wine alone was about 500. Lasagna is very calorie dense as is cake and garlic bread. I guess it depends on how many calories you burned AFTER the wedding!

Thanks!
I'm actually doing it cleanly of course, just with some flexibility in there so I can vary things whenever possible. Oddly enough I weighed myself this morning and I'm way heavier than last Wednesday: like 3 pounds heavier, though I'm sure it's probably water + more food still in my body, etc."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

So here's today's plan:
If you notice a lot of weird (AWadd) headings in my foods, it's because I Create all mind in myfitnesspal (i don't trust other people)
Also I calculate based on the macro count, not the calorie output from the tool since it takes out fiber, etc, it seems from certain foods. The total was about 3050 i think.Last edited by AdamWW; 08-22-2011 at 09:51 AM.

Thanks for stopping by!
I do love my fruits and veggies. The only PROBLEM I have with them when bulking is they fill me up, so I usually opt for leafy ones like spinach and romaine lettuce instead of brocolli, etc like I would on a cut.
Other than that I like to keep it as healthy as possible for sure.. and always at least 2 pieces of fruit and at least 5 servings of veggies a day.
Today I might not lift weights because I underslept bigtime last tonight, but i'll probably do some cardio to keep the old cardiovascular system in check."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

I agree. I've actually started running more after statrting my bulk. Just make sure you up the cals. How often do you plan to weigh? I think he's worried based on se of tour previous posts
Chicken-he can't lift every day, just call it an off day and move forward. I didn't lift yesterday and I ran and walked the dogsPL Log

well, walking the dogs is fine, TDEE or whatever. But Martin Berkhart for example explains why cardio cuts into recovery time. What part of cardio do you think makes you healthier? OP, I'm starting to believe the hype about your ED. And yeah, you can't lift everyday. Not what I'm sayin. Perhaps cardio is fine once OP is bigger, but he'll never get bigger doing cardio on off days. And the premise that cardio will keep him healthy will drag him down. Adam, your'e tired so your'e gonna skip a workout? Thats good. Now your'e gonna stress your CNS and heart, and legs with cardio on your rest day? Wheres the "rest"?

I'll just leave this here: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/mus...ass-gains.html
Adam, if you enjoy cardio, do it, but while bulking it probably is best to keep it to a minimum. If it interferes with your recovery from lifting you may have to cut back or cut it out. It's all about priorities.

I weigh in every wednesday morning.
When I do cardio, I'm not doing sprints, etc, i'm doing walking at 3.6mph at a 4% incline for about 30 minutes.
I think it's perfectly possible to be healthy AND bulk at the same time.. I know so many people who bulk and their endurance suffers as a result. I want to be big AND healthy.
This type of stress is good for you. Working the heart builds endurance, allows for more intense workouts, and generally makes me feel BETTER.
I skipped a LIFTING day because I was feeling sick, and I usually only work out 4 days of the week anyway, so taking the monday off instead of the wednesday like I usually do is not an issue. I could burn 500 calories with cardio, but so long as I eat 500 more, it makes no difference.
I actually find it HELPS with my recovery. Better circulation, better sleep, better heart function, it's all good stuff"When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

TODAY is going to be a lifting day - Back and Calves!
Haven't decided yet if it's going to be a lunch-time or after work session, but we'll see how busy I get during the day.
Planning on filling in my preworkout snack with either a couple granola bars or possibly some kind of espresso drink or a chocolate milk from the coffee shop by my work instead of solid food and see how that does to stimulate my energy levels.
At dinner i'll probably have the rest of the brown rice I cooked and maybe a little popcorn depending on how many cals I have left to get to my 3100 for the day.
Tomorrow is weigh-in day, and I have a feeling i'm going to come in heavier, but most likely just from water and having more food in my gut.
Have a great day everyone."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

Workout plan for today (this could change when I get there):
Back:
Body-Weight Chins: 4 Sets
Bent-Over Rows: 4 Sets
Wide-Grip Lat Pulldowns: 3 Sets
V-Grip Corner BB Rows: 4 Sets
V-Grip Lat Pulldowns: 3 Working sets + 1 Burnout Set
Hyperextensions + 25lb Weight: 3 Sets
Rope-Grip Lat Extentions: 2-3 Sets
Calves:
Seated Calf Raises: 4 Sets
Standing Calf Raise: 3 Sets
That's the basic outline. I like the start with body-weight chins to gauge my strength increases.. last week I did 9-7-7-6, very strict form and no "kicking".
Can't wait!"When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"
