i would consider myself a newbie. i trained isolated workouts for 2-3 months then SS for 3-4 months, then just kinda bs'd around during summer past month or two and now starting school up and am going to focus on size and endurance with higher reps. i know it will get better overtime but just was wondering if there was something i could do like stretching or something that would help.. i dont want to cut out leg work out days and i also cant slack in military conditioning ha

Nutritional density around workout time will help, meaning load up good healthy carbs and protein before and after. A foam roller will be a (painful) God send for you as it helps greatly with recovery. Other than that once running comes into play see how you feel and maybe back of slightly on leg day or just hit them once a week

Squat more often. If the DOMS is really bad, NSAID's might help since DOMS is most likely caused by inflammation.

i love the pain but i dont want it to effect my military training as i need to do best there. i am just going to cut out the leg work outs for a while until my legs get used to the running because i know from all the running i will be sore enough from that.

I love the pain also. Sore legs are the ultimate love/hate. They've been sore as long as 6 days before. If they are really sore but your routine says to work them out again, just take a chill pill and let them recover all the way. Incorporate a thorough stretch day for those situations.
