Hi, I'm a 15 y/o boy and I've been taking 500 mg of Niacin every odd day lately, but I don't really get any flush!
I kinda feel some minor tingling, but it's super weak, barely even noticeable, and it just lasts for about 20 sec.
Anyone know what could be the cause of that?

For some reason there are two chemicals out there being labeled as Niacin. Only one helps with your health. The GOOD is Nicotinic acid. It can lower blood cholesterol and possibly help with nitric oxide absorption by opening up your capillaries.

The other is inositol hexanicotinate (IHN). It is Inositol which by itself is good but this is merged with niacin. There are no health benefits to IHN. IHN is marketed as the NO FLUSH Niacin. No flush because its not really niacin.


There are some SLOW RELEASE or slow flush versions of nicotinic acid and those do work well. Strait Niacin (B3) aka Nicotinic acid is the one that will burn the crap out of you. You may panic the first time you use it. I did. I stood in a cold shower for 30 minutes and it really didn't help. Take an aspirin 30 minutes before you take Niacin and this will help stop the flush but the Niacin will still work. If you still start to flush then chew an aspirin. **I am talking about the 81mg aspirins*** Not the larger dose pills.

Other than that, make sure you sleep 10-12 hours a night. That is probably the single best way to increase GH production. Other than that, get plenty of dietary fat and vegetables/fruits.

This is why my twin (not identical) brother is 2 inches taller than me. Many man many late nights playing MMOs starting around age 13.
