Just spent a month in vegas for WSOP and drunken fun.
A couple questions in last few psots:
Tryst: One night we hit up both tryst and XS, I liked both. Both similar crowds(probably slightly less Asians at Tryst). 30$ cover for guys at tryst and you had to be 1:1. 50$ cover for guys at XS and I dont know if you were required for 1:1 didnt seem like it at the time we went(1:30ish). This is weekend price obv.
Regarding plaid button downs, yes you will get in, but unless you are a god damn pimp, picking up girls will be hard. There are a lot of bachelor/birthday type parties where guys have bottle service, and then there are guys not with bottle service dressing in jackets and ****(most not wearing right size and looking retarded, but didnt seem like girls cared). I usually went with a nice dress shirt, tucked into dress pants, with matching brown belt/dress shoes. sleeves roleld up and top 2 buttons undone. Seeing as my clothes actually fit, I got more girls mirin then the fools trying to wear suits/jackets but ending up looking retarded.
Plaid shirts are probably more accepted at other places, especially down town, which on weekends can be very fun. Insert Coins is a fun arcade/bar with decent priced drinks. Theres a couple bars next to that that are also fun, dont remember the names.
Dress shirt+jeans is a fine combo too, again only if everything fits nicely and you have a good belt/shoe combo.
Clubs:
Marquee was fun on Monday(Party Rock Night)
Had a decent time at the Bank(Bellagio) when we were there, my buddy knows a promoter so we skipped line.
Hyde is a very meh experience. WE got bottle service there, the dance floor is small, but it does over look the bellagio fountains which is a nice view.
Tao was fun(i think), but dont remember most of the night(hah)Fashion Brah
Wristwatch Crew Brah

Great thread. Some of my buddies from college and I are planning a trip for Labor Day Weekend (Saturday-Tuesday) and we can have flights/hotel(cosmo/aria) sorted for $500 per person. What worries me is budgeting for daily/nightly spending. I've been reading this jack colton thread and it's scaring me ****less. People spending $1k+ a day?!
Is it possible to get by on $150/day if we don't care about hitting tier 1 clubs or bottle service and will be predrinking before going out?
I've been looking online and there are presale admission tickets for events during the weekend going for ~$60 (ex. avicii, saturday night at marquee) which is the kind of thing we'll be down to do every night. Are we guaranteed admission with these?
What can we do to make sure we get into places at night seeing as it will be a busy holiday weekend?***Georgia Crew***

Marquee is top notch, can't go wrong there. Haze is as well but their customer service and relations suck and they get slower when there isn't events going on.
If you're in Vegas and aren't eating at earl of sandwich you're ****ing up. I grab lunch there at least once a week.
Lesson one. Nothing in this city is cheap, anything fun, touristy or on the strip will be expensive. Clubbing and bar hopping on the strip, expensive as ****. Brb $45 redbull and vodkas.
Lol@ $150 per person per day. It's doable though but I'd suggest bringing more. Even the liquor stores on or by the strip up charge like crazy is catch cab and head to one off strip. There's a lee's liquor like 2 miles south on the blvd. I also hope that $150 isn't including food
Club passes and event tickets are ONLY legit if they are directly for said club or sold by said club. Read the fine print before you buy anything you could spend $60 to stand in the "VIP" line just to spend another $80 to get in.
Nothing will ensure you of getting into any club on our 4th. Busiest weekend of the year especially without a bankroll of cash. My advice, come, drink, enjoy the city and don't worry so much about what clubs you need to go to and whatever1590lbs @ 251lbs raw.

Thanks for the quick reply. We're totally fine with roaming the strip, gambling a bit, enjoying the city. I'd like to have 2 solid nights out though. Keeping in mind that it will be a busy long weekend, can you recommend any clubs (and pool parties for the day) we can hit up? I understand it won't be XS or Tao or w/e.

Hell yes! So good! Plus I work at the mirage so I get to grub on the buffet food for free at our edr.
I think my favorite non touristy off strip place to eat has to be steiners, that or yard house at town square.
Absolutely every club and pool will have something going on that weekend so you have many choices, skim through the thread and look at all te places recommended then when it gets a little closer go to sites like spyonvegas.com and see what's crackin that weekend.1590lbs @ 251lbs raw.

Just make sure you show up early if you want to get in.
I remember on Halloween I paid $50 bucks to get into XS. I pregamed 2 bottles of Bicardi with 5 guys and then we bought a drink on the way to XS. I bought a long island there for $18 bucks. Total amount spend that night was less than a $100 bucks. You can EASILY do it.

Just read the whole thread, got me excited to go in a couple weeks. I've been twice but not since I turned 21. My dad has been a million times, used to own a strip club there, high limit gaming, out there every weekend, etc. He's been telling me tips and tricks for literally 10 years now so I'm excited to finally get out there.
I go to school in Arizona and the only reason my broke ass is considering going is because I'll be sitting on my ass in AZ at the pool anyway, so might as well do the same thing in Las Vegas since it's free.
However, I'm poor as **** and am not/wasn't looking forward to going for this very reason. I've been told my multiple people "the amount of fun you have is directly proportional to the amount of money you spend." That said, obviously there are ways around things: pregaming in your room, going to Fremont Street to gamble, etc.
My dad still has (literally) stacks of free room offers from the glory days when he was out there all the time gambling and dropping tons of cash. I'll be using one of the offers and probably heading out the second week of August, probably getting there the 6th or 7th for 2-3 nights. I was pretty dead set on staying at Palms (best offer out of the ~10 or so I can choose from) but am now planning on Mirage instead. Best pools of any hotel, decent clubs, middle of strip vs. far away (Palms), etc.
Would bring 1-2 other people, nothing really too grand honestly. Still, for a few days I figure it's better than being in Arizona waiting until school starts. If you're a Miscer and you wanna go I might consider letting you stay in my room, provided you're outgoing, provide the lulz, like to drink, and aren't sketchy.
Anybody else gonna be there second week of August? It would be awesome to meet up with Misc locals/Miscers there. I'm in decent shape so it could be fun getting together with others (that actually lift) and chasing the wimmenz. PM me if you'll be there...I'm going to PM a few of the guys ITT that are locals1k+
muscle confusion works best for making gains. thats why it's important to curl in the squat rack. you mind prepares to do squats but instead you do curls. this leads to a muscle overload and bulging biceps.

So what tips did your dad give you?
You paid $50 for cover or $50 for a presale ticket? Also, what is "early" in Vegas?
Let's say I wanted to grab tickets for something like this (http://www.marqueelasvegas.com/ldw-d...askade-sept-2/). It says "Even guy/girl ratio required or subject to door discretion" which means what exactly? The ratio inside the club has to remain even or your group's ratio at entry has to be even?
Does anyone know of any clubs that have guaranteed entry tickets available to their events on LDW?
EDIT: This one seems better (http://xs.wantickets.com/Events/1096...Labor-Weekend/). If we all bought these tickets and showed up at the door at 9:30 or w/e to line up, we would basically be guaranteed to get inside?Last edited by qotsa; 07-20-2012 at 07:24 AM.

I paid $50 right after the rope. That is all. We showed up around 9-10pm, which is early apparently.
I don't know what you have to do to get in honestly. We had 5 guys and two girls we picked up walking through the Wynn and we got in no problem. I told my boys we needed to split up if we wanted any chance in getting in, so we spaced ourselves up in the line. I think it's how you look and dress and if you are polite. I think if you are dressed to impress, you shouldn't have a problem. If you do have a problem, you'll have to open your wallet for the guy I bet. We talked to the rope handler and told him our situation and he said we could get in since it was early. I think if you are older and creeper looking, look like a slob, you obviously probably won't get in.
They gotta keep the girls in there or no one would go. The ratio seemed 50/50 when I was there.Last edited by _zman; 07-20-2012 at 11:39 AM.

Alright, thanks man. I don't think we'll have trouble with appearance (young, well dressed, polite). I actually found my exact question in a thread on jackcolton.com and everything seems positive there. I guess the only issue now is figuring out how to keep the buzz going if we plan on arriving so early
Also we're staying at the Cosmo, does anyone know if the hotel key thing works during special events?***Georgia Crew***
