Anyone else just get incomprehensible rage when they read this utter bull****?

They nearly cost the kids life- if the baby had actually died I would've turned right the **** around and citizens arrested the cop for assisted murder...

"Speeding towards the hospital on "lightly trafficked roads," the newspaper reported, at more than 105 MPH."
lolwut?
I know its an emergency and all, but its hard to justify that speed. Maybe if someone cut their jugular lol.
If it was like 70-85 MPH then I could probably agree with OP, but its hard not to understand the ticket/license suspension."Let’s face it, the ol’ .30-30 WCF has the ballistics of a dropped potato, but at least it makes up for that with ubiquity. The .25-45 Sharps? Nope."

what's the big deal OP? dude still broke the law. yes it's nice his baby was born healthy and the mother got away with few to no complications...but if dude had fuked up at 105 he would have transformed his family and anything else he collided with into a random assortment of parts.
rage? for this? cmon, bruh

This happened in my neck of the woods (srs).
They wanted to get to THEIR doctor. They passed two hospitals in the course of doing so. Responsible thing to do would have been to go to the first hospital and get an ambulance to take them to their preferred doctor or just deliver the baby in what is a perfectly adequate hospital. 0 sympathy.

I would have pulled him over (not knowing the situation) upon realizing it was a medical situation I would have then escorted the car to the hospital and which point after the situation had been taken care of written a speeding ticket for 25 over (or whatever is the max non reckless speed for the state).
He did break the law and should be cited but you have to take all things into consideration and put yourself in the persons shoes.*PUREBLOOD CREW*

THIS
is actually true. wow mindphucked.
but yeah OP - problem is if you're a police officer, you can't go ahead and say 'oh your having a baby? you need to get to the hospital? Go, speed as fast as you want kthnxbai!"
coz then who does the family of dead loved ones in a tragic accident caused by this speeding guy go for? the speeding guy? nah. he'll say the police officer told him he could.
then you're super phucked. like, rape phucked. phucked so hard it bleeds apple juice.

holy fcuk, going a good amount over the speed limit would be alright in my eyes, but almost double or triple the limit at 105!?!?!(of course this depends on what the speed limit of the roads he was driving on were).
Should have called the amber lamps, could have possibly gotten them there in the same amount of time, if not shorter.
