yup, thumbs up our asses. looks like we have yet another injury prone starter on our hands. what else is new. wow Arsenal is making me cynical haha.
.......
im surprised nobody has talked about Paris St. Germain. their movements have been flying under the radar so far this summer. they were bought by filthy rich arabs earlier this summer just like City was a couple years back.
they've already acquired Mammadou Sissoko, Kevin Gameiro, Jeremy Menez, and Blaise Matuidi. now its being reported they have bid for Javier Pastore. like when City and Chelsea came in to tons of money, PSG is starting by purchasing a lot of talented mid-range players and then bidding for some massively expensive stars hoping that their money and show of ambition (the talented mid-range players) can convince these stars to join.
City and Chelsea of course are in the best/one of the best leagues in the world while PSG is in Ligue 1......it will be interesting to see which players are so greedy that they will forgo playing for a top club in a top league and instead go for the money at a Ligue 1 club. i wouldn't be surprised if Tevez went to PSG for "family reasons" lulz
......
can't wait for alternative fuels or for the oil wells to dry up around the Persian Gulf (no, im not talking about Chelsea). without oil, those countries are absolutely nothing. right now they're playing with monopoly money and ruining the game just because they're bored and want to spend a couple hundred million......all while lowly Arsenal slowly builds a quality squad only to see City come swooping in with their money to steal away the Arsenal developed players. come on financial fair play!!! put that **** into action!

I don't think he has that positioning and reaction though, but he does have other strong points that Chicharito doesn't have, (comparing these cause they both around same height and speedy) such as much better dribbling and the fact that he is faster. Would be definitely interesting to see how Walcott would fare.

I think he would do really well, and after all it is his favored position. it's where he grew up playing.
he's never really been given the chance there though so it's hard to make an accurate prediction. but I do think he has all the qualities to succeed in that role.

mostly rumors from british tabloids that get their info from the spanish press, lol
so nothing concrete of course, but it still seems more likely than not at this point.
I don't think it depends on nasri either. I think nasri will stay. still not sure about cesc though.

Cesc is going to stay. Wenger came out and explicitly said that he intends to keep his best players.
That translates to "Fuk off you *******s, no one is leaving".
Fabregas came out a while ago and said he talked to Puyol, and he said he didn't win anything until the age of 27. Fabregas understands he still has time. He isn't stupid, and realizes the quality that Arsenal have even without any signings. New depth will provide a fresh outlook which is very important for a team.
Especially if Wenger goes out and buys Mata, along with any other signings and possibly another defensive signing, it is clear that Arsenal are showing ambition in the transfer market.
If Mata is signed along with some defensive signing, Arsenal win the EPL this year. I am 100% confident of this. If he isn't signed and no defensive signings, I still think the chance of the title is very strong.
Within 3 years, they will dominate the EPL hard. Wenger has a crop of young players who are maturing, and various factors such as prolonged team chemistry, a team identity, and squad depth along with extreme speed (Walcott and Ryo) provide for a devastatingly balanced team that is capable of doing extreme damage.
The type of team that Wenger builds runs in cycles. When Wenger came out and said he believes his team can go undefeated, he was called out by so many people. It was viewed as preposterous, arrogant, misinformed, etc. Wenged realized the quality that he had, a team that was maturing with young talent, stable midfield, elite striking, and an established team identity that established stability within the squad.
Another cycle of talent is maturing. It is also extremely important to note other team's positions as well. Who is going to step in to Chelsea to improve them? Pastore? Lol. United are solid, but one injury to Wayne Rooney and the side becomes completely uncreative and one dimensional. City can maybe mature to something within 2 years if Mancini stays, but most likely he will leave or be fired due to not winning anything and someone needed to blame for it due to the money pouring in. Liverpool will not mount a prolonged season long challenge imo, and Tottenham will fall apart within 3 years and be at best a mid table club.

Mata will cost Arsenal over £20 million. He is the prized asset of Valencia, a team that has recently found a 'solution' to their long term financial problems so are no longer under pressure to sell a la Silva and Villa.
I highly, highly doubt Mata will leave. Carzola has just signed for Malaga, who was a reported target for Arsenal.
Arsenal should sign Joe Cole. I'll drive him to London himself.

Reps to whoever gives me the best answer. I'm about to start a Manager Mode on Fifa 11.
What team should I start with? Either Chicago Fire or a team in the Premier. I like playing with Chelsea, but I feel like I'm becoming a fan of them just because of a video game, so maybe I should play with someone else. Recommend me something fun and I shall rep!Last year I spent more money on spilled liquor in bars than 99% of miscers make in a year.
