What is this thread for?
This thread has been created for those members of the IFBB section who post here often and would like to show us their latest progress. The guys that post here a lot are a small but dedicated community who continue to support pro bodybuilding. Since we're a close community, it's good to get positive feedback from eachother rather than some random folk from the 'Post your progress pics/vids' section.
The progress of our members can be posted in the form of pictures, videos or simple informative posts asking for advice etc.
**Strictly NO absuing this thread - No flaming, no negative critiques, no trolling of any form!**
This thread is meant for encouraging our current members to help them achieve their goals - Positive critiques, praise where it's due and helpful advice (no broscience) is what will be most appreciated by the members that bother to actually post here.

great idea for a thread. looking forward to some motivation!
luckily enough i just took some progress pics yesterday so strong timing.
I just turned 20 two weeks ago, weighing about 178.5 in the morning. 1-2 weeks left in my cut then i'm gonna slowly start bulking back up for about 6 months. i'm going for my natural pro card next summer so i'm pretty stoked.

I'll do mine now I guess!
Basically, I'm really not happy with how I look right now. My legs have gone small from what they were - I stopped training legs for multiple reasons - Those reasons are all mostly not valid any more and so I can start training legs again if I want. I also lost size in my back from omitting deadlifts which I still do occasionally, but not like I used to! Arms are a quarter inch smaller. Also, my total heaviest weight (203lb) is down to 196-197ish.
I think if I post my 'pictures of shame' it'll kick me into touch lol There wont be better motivation than knowing in a month or 2 I can show everyone how I'm getting on after some hard training and eating!! If I dont improve, then there's nothing down for me!! So, here goes:
(pics up soon)
EDIT: Pics now up. Weighing 196 here and maybe 15% bf??

I don't post here every day, but I am a regular reader and have been for over 3 years so I hope it's cool for me to join in. I recently competed and would love to get some feedback from this section. I got tons of love and support throughout my prep, but it would be cool to hear you guys' unbiased opinions since you're all so well versed in physique critiquing and have no reason to sugar coat anything. Thanks in advance!

The Journey of PaLftr
Getting better every day.
I started at over 300lbs, cut my way to 178lbs lightest...Since then I've been bulking and cutting and recomping my body. Improving each year.
Right now I stand 6'2 and 185lbs, lean with enough size to be noticed quite frequently and girls always call me buff or whatever...For a guy who's been obese his whole life, I can't complain.
Here's one at 250ish.
This one i'm around 195lbs a couple months ago.

Guys, all doing well!
XClassic - Cool physique, you have a good base with a naturally good structure. If you basically added more mass all round and thickened up (which im sure is your goal anyway) you're only look better! The tight wasit is in your favour so obviously make sure you focus on keeping it as tight as poss while trying to bulk up during the winter!
bwelch1985 - Not at all bro, this is for everyone! You look really good in your pics. Its the same with you as with Xclassic IMO - just need to keep rolling on and adding more muscle! Your shape is good, you have naturally good calves (a blessing as Dex, JOJ, Wolf etc can't do sh!t about it lol) Your lats from the back look like they insert lower down which means with more mass, your gonna achieve a sick V taper!! Your conditioning for that comp looks good, you could still get more ripped but I'm sure you've learnt alot from your show.
PaLftr - Bro, excellent job! Just to lose the weight is an achievement in itself! I'd say you look like you have a solid base to get quick thick! Keep up the good work.Last edited by wala; 07-18-2011 at 02:26 PM.

lol thanks bro. it actually gets a lot smaller as i get deeper in my cut, i'm just now reaching that point where my waist starts drastically shrinking. here it is from a year ago at my show, next time i compete i'll have 2 years of improvements since this pic so i'm looking to put it to shame!

Just took some progress pictures this morning and think this is a good idea. Critique me as I will appreciate the input.

Very good shape Pilcher.
In your RLS - Put your hands nearer to your sides and a bit further down and I think from what I can see, dont lift your shoulder so high, drop em slightly. Try that and see how it looks.
You're well proportioned and balanced from the pics. What are your goals? Getting bigger? Cutting?IG: waldronconstruction

Still getting bigger and when I reach my goal I am going to cut early next year and enter a UKBFF qualifier. Fingers crossed.

Looking well jive, like everyone else, structure seems really good! Only thing that stood out immediately is your hammies, you should prioritise them on leg day if you're not already - do em first and smash them, just thicken them to match your quads so your legs look more complete.
Good strategy mate! Where about in the UK are you? I find some regions have better classes of athletes than others! So you may be up against some tough competition or it could be a doddle! lolIG: waldronconstruction

yeah thanks man, you hit the nail of the head haha. i guess its a little late to bring them up a lot for this year, although today i start my new split in which hammies are on a separate day to quads, so i really can demolish them. hopefully this change in split will stimulate a little bit of growth, even though im pretty depleted atm.
either way, this year is more for stage experience and getting my confidence up. next year though... watch this space. im gonna win(shame i cant compete against Kyle next year though! y u be so old for Kyle?!)

Thanks mate! But seriously, legs used to look way better and upper body was a bit thicker, so right now just looking to get right back into it all!!
For triceps I do 50/50 between cable movements and free weight. Not really any machines.
Usually start with light cable pushdowns w/ rope or EZ bar. I literally change things around all the time - Nobody likes training triceps with me because I beast everyone on them! I do the stack for like 20 reps where everyone else, even guys with bigger triceps are only doing 10 reps, or throwing the pin down some weight just to keep up.IG: waldronconstruction
