    Nice lift, Big Z. Sorry late. Looked easy to me.

    Bench Press for powerlifting.

    Points I think that must be addressed:
    1) to get more stable with the bar before the (virtual) "start" and some moments before the (also virtual) "rack" commands;
    2) to wait for at least 1 or 2 seconds with the bar on my chest during the PR break attempt.

    note: my feet are with full contact with the floor.

    Any comments are welcome!

    I'm 43yrs old, 5'-6" and 145lbs, real lean.
    rarely bb bench but bench and row w 90lb db's for 7 reps
    chins AND dips with 70lbs on the belt for 10 reps or 90lbs for 7 reps OR 115lbs for 2 reps (for a strength/power day I'll do 5x2 for example)
    standing push presses with up to 120lbs for 5ish reps ... use the same bb for good-mornings, bb lunges and squats ...
    I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    I feel if I go with a wider grip my elbow flares out. If I go a little more narrow my elbows Stu tucked but knownit is hitting my tri’s harder. I notice most on here have a slightly wider than shoulder grip. Does it matter a wider or narrow grip? Not too narrow obviously, almost exactly or slightly less than shoulder width.
