For the squat comp I just copied the weight classes from the DL comp.

We only had 11 official entries in total, so having 7 weight classes would have been overkill.

I'm guessing the BP comp will have a lot more entries, though.

Hopefully you will. Competing at 120 or under against someone pushing 140 seems a tad biased.

Speaking as a guy who's pretty much IN that "group of death" I'll agree lol....

It's not necessarily about winning... it's about pushing yourself to improve.

If I can add 25-50lbs. to my lifts by being in these comps (which usually run 6 mos.) then I consider that a victory in itself.

The weight classes were the same for the 2010 deadlift comp and 2011 deadlift comp and no one said sh't about them in any thread.

Traditionally we don't get a lot of ladies out to these things so I didn't add as many weight classes. Maybe I'll add one more and we can leave it at 3 for now.

Wayne, perhaps there can be additional awards given. Like who looks best while attempting their max.

Or calculate a final total by adding our age in years to our max for an "adjusted gross total".

Like I said I haven't maxed in quite some time. But, if I had to guestimate I would say a clean rep of 200#. My all time max is over 3 yrs ago 250# @ 165#. I still hurt from that. LOL

Nice job esp. for not benching in a few months. I think you can eek out the #25 sooner than later. Some unsolicited advice.....During your liftoff, expand your chest and retract your shoulder blades...Better base and the retraction will help protect your shoulders...
