Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

We'll simply continue the comp. in this thread.... only it'll run from Jan 1st - Jun 30th this time.
No new entries during the last 2 months. So you're last day to officially enter will be April 30th.
Doesn't seem like there were any problems with the divisions so unless there are any STRONG objections we'll keep them the same. Hopefully get some more ladies in this time!

First video of the new bench press season. 230 x 1 at 146 bodyweight. I did this on zero sleep. It still went easy but it was really really easy on the 2nd of jan.

You know, I was just thinking how it is good to have threads like this. Not just for the competition, but to video document our accomplishments. Honestly, other than a few PL comps, I haven't videoed myself EVER lifting. I guess I don't come from an age of videography. I wish now I had taken some thought and time in years past to record some milestones.

Put me down for 210. This is all I can do for a prelim, I am not straying from the program and won't do an actual 1 rm until late March. This is the last seat on my 3rd wave of 531.

I always train hard during the winter so I can max out on or near my birthday in the middle of March.
This year on my 41st birthday I'm aiming for a 500 slingshot assisted bench @ approx 215 lbs.
Training is going okay for now. Time to ramp things up a bit.
