I live about an hour away. Haven't been there in ten years though. If you're not leaving until next year isn't making this thread a little premature?
It's probably expensive but
All the women are fine as hell, and are probably easy because there arent enough guys for all the girls. Likely to have model looking chicks whiteknighting you even if you are average. People say that the college of charleston has four females for every male. Don't know how much of that is true.
There are beaches there
They have a whole foods market, and probably other healthy grocery stores as well

its a fun place to live. cicaadakiller is for the most part right. downtown charleston is always going to be expensive to live, but thats where all the fun is. there are thousands of girls, and all types; from surfer chicks, to divas. its funny as hell when you go out to the bars and see the diversity in females.
ps there are lots of drugs, its stupid crazy. but other than that its an awesome place to liveLast edited by hitchafide; 07-11-2011 at 04:50 AM.

My wife's family is from there. I'm actually on vacation right now here, we're staying in a location called James Island. It's nice down here. I'm from Virginia and it's very comparable in living prices. gas is around the same price, and food prices are roughly the same. Downtown, esoecially around Broad street is very pricey, but it's mostly a tourist area, so the prices there are expensive. Nice area overall though.

So i just talked with my sis-in-law about a few things. Rent varies on where you stay. If you stay in West Ashley, then you can rent a house for around 800 a month. If you stay on Folley Island or James Island, you can rent a small apt for around 700 a month. My sis in law just bought a house for 110,000, but its only 1000 sq feet. The bars are pretty fun down here. The places to eat are good too, but eating at supper time can get pricey. Hope this helps!
