I need to buy a new protein powder and I can't decide what is a high quality product that will fit my needs. I am 5'9"ish about 145lbs and I'm trying to pack on muscle quickly, but without gaining too much fat. I work out at least 6 times a week.
For the last few months I have been using amplified wheybolic extreme 60 up until now and I had no problems with it. When I was ready to purchase more I went to GNC and they recommended the beyond raw mass gainer. The problems I have against the beyond raw is that it has much less arginine and it has problems with clumping even after a blender. The beyond raw server size is also about 3x as much as the extreme 60. 243grams as opposed to 79g.
So my question to you is should I suck it up and finish the beyond raw because it is what I need, or is there a better muscle building powder I should buy?

GNC products are all bad.
For your protein go with myofusion, xf whey, or trutein.White Flood Juicy Grape Log!

I mean dude they aren't bad like everyone is saying they are calorie dense and contain a good blend of amino protein carbs and fats. The truth is to gain clean mass you are gonna have to go on a nice clean bulking diet that will be above what your maintence calories are. If you work a diet and need a weight gainer to hit your macros then to each there own brother. I personally am bulking right now and use no weight gaining supplement i just have a very good diet formualted. And throwing muscle fast is a joke you can gain on AVERAGE 2 lbs of muscle a month which is a ton if you think about it. And to those who will say the above statement is incorrect this may be true this is just my opinion which i believe to be true after reading many articles from differrent authors as well as my own personal experince!! and OP maybe think about taking some creatine as well as some BCAA to help pack on the muscle. Good luck and train hard!!

I'm not very fond of weight gainers and such but i was given a free bottle of monster mass from cytosport and that thing did wonders. I gained i good 3-5 lbs as i remembered from using it. It blends just like any other normal protein powder and goes down just the same. I would really give it a try if you are having a hard time with the weight gain.

Will do. I'm about to head to GNC to return the powder I have right now, I'll grab the myofusion but that will leave me with about 20 dollars in store credit that I'll need to spend. Should I just grab another container of myofusion or something like casein protein, or Fish oil?
It's likely that you piss me off.

No need for a pure casein product, buy some creatine with that money if you don't already have any, Also I would recommend getting fishoil and a multivitamin. Make sure the fishoil has a high concentration of EPA/DHA per pill, for your multi I would get orange triad, but they don't sell it there. Buy all of your supplements online from now on, much much cheaper than GNC.
