Just out of curiosity if I put on a weighted vest and ran with it or carry a heavy back pack while walking. Would the device know that I am burning more calories since I am working harder? I am confused on how it would know that I am burning more calories if it doesn't know I added weight to myself.

I used one a year or so back for a few weeks (it was a freebie/demo situation) but just bought one of the $69.99 deals on 24hourfitness.
Question:
- With the online "subscription" how easy is it to "share" the device?
If I recall you enter sex/height/weight/misc info on setup and it uses that data in calculating calories/etc; if it set it up for myself, a 5'11 180lb male, and use the device/subscription for a few months how easy it is to reset the data for my wife after that first few months?
Does the service "know" you're transferring to another person and try to hit you with some sort of transfer/activation fee, or is it as simple as changing my sex/height/weight/misc info to her's (obviously we'd continue to use the same account/userid/password)?
Thanks -

So how do you guys take the readings from the bodybugg? I understand you guys wear it throughout the day and through your workout, but do all you wear it while you sleep? I know we still burn calories while we're sleeping so how do you guys usually gauge your daily expenditure of sleeping ontop of the bodybugg reading? Or is it really irrelevant?

You wear it sleeping - actually wear it all the time except while in water (shower, swimming, etc).
...so it counts your sleep calories and, if I recall, even "recognizes" when you're sleeping and creates some sort of "quality of sleep" rating for you based on how long you sleep and how much movement during your sleep.

The SP is fairly new it is for Ipods so you can sync and watch your calories burned changed rather than plugging into comp. For you other question their are very similar just gowearfit has some more options and shows you some other things. Bodybugg is cheaper and just shows calories burned steps taken etc and they both have online programs that are very useful
