I left chicken in a sandwich bag marinating in lemon, garlic, spices, and olive oil.
It has been two days. Is it okay to still eat it? I don't want to waste food but I think I read somewhere marinating for too long is bad.

Sometimes acids can cook your food a bit (ceviche, for instance). Just be aware it may cook a bit quicker now that it was marinating in a bit of acid. As long as it stayed cold, you'll be fine. It'll probably taste pretty darn good!

Fantastic.
Raw Chicken shouldn't smell like anything right?
What do you guy marinate your chicken with? I need more stuff other than olive oil, lemon, garlic, and pepper

48 hour marinated chicken is the best. DO NOT throw it out unless you're convinced its gone bad.

If you like spicy, lately I've been doing this.
Can of Chipotle Peppers in Adobo, sauce as well.
I'd take out a few peppers first time so it's not too spicy and you can leave them all in later if you enjoy the heat.
Put it in a blender with some
Garlic (fresh if you have it)
Black Pepper
Cumin
Chili Powder
Oregano
Olive Oil (enough so that the concoction covers everything)
Maybe a hint of lime juice or orange juice (squeezed of course)

If it pulls a knife on you when you open the bag, it's gone bad.

Blood is ok... I guess if you really got your nose down in there, it would smell a little like dead chicken. I would say as long as you don't smell that spoiled meat smell (you would know), you're more than likely ok.
If you question it too much... return it to Costco.I achieve nutritional fortitude by a method which shall not be named, lest the peasants learn to read.

Well, I ate the chicken that was marinating for 2 days came in at 18.8 oz.
When I ate it, it was very very soft... it kept making me think that it wasn't fully cooked even though it was. two days is too much imo.
There's gotta be a better way to eat this crap chicken... I never thought I could hate chicken so much. but then again, the only chicken I like is fried.

Two days will be fine man, as long as its been refrigerated. I marinade my chicken breasts bulk n have em in the fridge for up to 4 days, never a problem
If it was "soft" then yeah you probably didn't cook it enough and if you really dont like breast that bad, switch to (skinless, fat trimmed) thigh! Nothn wrong its just a little more fat, enjoyѰ "Beware the battle cry of the gym pussy: 'I dont want to be big, I just want to get toned!'" - Big Red

Best Marinade Evah
This marinade makes the tastiest grilled chicken.
Long drizzle of Olive Oil
Juice of one fresh lemon
Tablespoon of white vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Three tablespoons dried oregano
Three garlic cloves crushed
Marinate a couple hours (if you go longer the texture of the chicken can get weird from the acids) Grill it up! Yum!
