Some people can go over board with IIFYM.
Some people can go over board with clean eating.
Like most things in life, the answers lay somewhere in middle of the extremes of both camps.
End of the day, it is unwise to make the diet your whole life.

Layne, they never do, they post this alarmist crap all over the nutrition forum.
You'll grow moobs from soy.
Fructose causes weight gain even in caloric deficit.
Multivitamins cause cancer.
You are going to die from the infinitesimal quantities of transfat.
Carbs cause fat gain
etc.
In case they post studies, they are either flawed or irrelevant.

I haven't been on the boards in a good while so catching up on all this IIFYM stuff is new to me and very interesting. I know Layne has been preaching basically the same concept for years but with a less extreme stance of course. With the troubles I've had on my recent pre contest diets, I'm looking forward to seeking help on setting up a new diet with some food I can actually handle long term. Good read guys..
