one of my favs
dude was so full and vascular it was insane. you should have seen the looks of people at him walking around back stage. I've never seen anyone peak that well in terms of fullness and vascularity. It was just insanity. Also, he is one of the nicest most humble people you could ever meet.

First, off thank you for an incredible thread. I admire not only the physiques, but also many of the posters. I read the whole thread.
If at all possible, I would like to ask a very forthright question because I feel the posters in this thread are much more qualified to answer than the people I encounter on a daily basis.
Since this is my real name, let me ask about a hypothetical "friend." How much respect would this person lose if they were to remain natural for seven years and then cross over into the natural feds? Previous AAS/prohormone use is minimal, if that matters. This person has competed in one NPC novice show. He would compete in NPC Natural shows in the interim. He has no desire to use banned substances again.
Do all natural feds require seven years? He would be more than happy to submit to urinalysis, polygraph, etc. This person is not trying to game the system--not at all. He respects what natural bodybuilding stands for much more than the chemical warfare underbelly of the NPC, and would prefer to compete solely in natural shows going forward. If this notion is sacrilegious, then he apologizes.
Thoughts? I sincerely appreciate anyone who answers candidly.

if he waits out his ban and follows the rules, open arms hell from what I've seen its almost a 50/50 split between life time natties and folks who have done something, I ran a bunch of pro hormones and phs in 05/06 and it has limited where I can compete...just follow the rules...how many years clean depends on what was used, when, and what org. For example I was good to go in the NGA and PNBA immediately after I stopped because I hadn't used anything that was banned at the time I used em. I had to wait 2 years for the INBF because they have a 2 year amnesty rule for OCT ph/ps, and I'm still not eligble to compete in the OCB/NANBF/IFPA because they specifically banned the substance I used about 8 months before I used them, and they have a 7 year ban. So its specific to what you use, where you want to compete etc etc
when andro was first out, it was treated almost like creatine dude, wasn't even banned by the feds for a long while

@Quelly, BWelch, Layne:
Thanks, guys. I appreciate the honest answers. I think I'm going to do the NPC Natural Ohio 2012 and see how that works out. I've been told that show has pretty rigorous testing and it's not a *Natural* (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) NPC show where they "randomly" test like two bikini girls.
Layne, I also train at your old gym in Champaign. Gold's is miraculously still standing, lol.
Anyway, thanks again and I apologize for the temporary derailing of the thread. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

More inspiration:
Jeff and Paul Alberts, brothers and IFPA Pros, competing in the overall at the NPC Modesto on August 20th, this was them tag teaming the heavyweight champion who would end up winning, awesome physique on the guy too, up and comer in the NPC Kenyatta was his first name I forget his last name....but anyway guy looks like brandon curry, as he brings up his legs and overall size I think he could compete at nationals and do well
Sure they've got great physiques, but what really inspires me about them is they are both in their 40's, have been competing since the 90's (1993 for Jeff!) and still love the sport and have a healthy balanced approach to competing
