ITT: We have INK! Good art isn't cheap, Cheap art isn't good

The healing process is the worst part of getting a tattoo by far. Anyone that says otherwise is a ****ing liar. Can't go in the sun, can't get it very wet so you have to take showers with your body hanging out of the water then at the last minute wash that area, itchy as ****, everyone thinks its ****ing hilarious so hit it, etc... The healing process is what really keeps me from getting more tats.

It isn't THAT bad -- just feels like a concentrated sun burn.
Not to mention, actually getting something on your lower ribs/hip/abs seems to make the anything else feel like a walk in the park.

Eh it's not that it hurts it's more the annoyance of it than anything else. I do work construction so the healing process might be a bit worse for me since keeping it clean can be a pain in the ass and I am always moving/crawling around in different places. Getting my whole lower leg done this Saturday so hopefully I won't get to much **** for wearing sneakers and not work boots for a couple days next week. And as for painful areas the armpit area is by far the worst pain I have ever felt.

Picking is the worst thing to do, you will remove ink and or crack that tattoo and it will look like stretch marks running through it

Thanks man. My tattoo artist is Megan Massacre of Deep Six here in philly. They are definitely one of the best shops on the East Coast. She is actually on the new TLC show NY Ink that just aired.

bumping this shiz, have an appt for a quarter sleeve/shoulder outline on monday, will report back with pics, getting tattooed over a HUGE stretch mark

my chest tats over over some stretch marks, they hid well, but hurt like a bitch, from my experience, and what i've heard from other artists/people, how the stretch marks look after really depends on what kind of tattoo and where exactly it is. I have found that the "busier" the tattoo the better, if its right in the middle of an all black patch, it will stand out more than something like mine with more lines/different colors, etc.

Easily. Flat is the easiest scar to cover. The best scars to tattoo over are usually over 2 years old. At that point they are completely healed.
As for stretch marks , yes they can be tattooed over, again I say the older they are the more they will take the ink better and cover up nicer.

I think I figured out what I want. *On my right foreame; *Country of Italy, colors of the Italian Flag (Green, white, Red) also the words Forza Italia, and also, Calabrese, and Romana (Parents regions). *4 stars to represent the 4 world cups, and the color Blue, because Italy is known as Azzurri, which means blue. *I'm gonna give it to one of the Tattoos artist here (The best one in Columbus) and see what he can design with that.
