As of now im taking in about 150G of protein, and about 2500 calories per day.
I guess im whats called an ectomorph? its veryyyy difficult to put on weight.

this.
2,500 is below my maintenance and I'm shorter and lighter than you and my maintenance is 2,750. Currently Bulking at 3,100+ daily. I would suggest properly calculating your macros via the sticky in the nutrition forum, I would guess your maintenance is around 2,900 or so, and if you want to bulk perhaps start at 3,200 + or so.

1. Post pics.. intredasted to see a 6'1" 150lb'er who is "pretty ripped"
2. Keep re-evaluating yourself. There is no single calorie number that fits everyone. 2500cal is a start, IF you can certify that you are actually taking in 2500KCal.. After about 4weeks weigh yourself and if you haven't gained (should have gained about 1lb at least on a clean bulk) add more calories!
3. Do not go around "eating everything in sight" as people here would recommend. I'm assuming you want to gain muscle rather than fat. Sure you cant just add 500g of glucose or sucrose a day to your diet.. that would give you 2000 excess calories and you'll probably add a ton of weight but not the kind u want.. lolz..

Work your muscles very hard, but allow them to rest and recuperate and grow. This is the easiest way to put on weight.. REST.
Basically besides working out, stop moving soo much.
Why run when you can walk
why take the stairs when theres an elevator.
Think about all the caloris you can save monthly. and just for the love of God eat more.
Eat more, move less. /threadStaple Supplements:

I agree, i never said dont do cardio, i said planout your cardio, plan to do it but dont do more. Dont go to the gym workout intensly for an hour, than do a half hour of cardio, and then go home and go take the dog for a walk, and then go grocery shopping, then come home and play manhunt outside. I'm saying if you plan to do 30 mins of cardio, do your cardio, but just limit your excess activity or your basically shooting yourself in the foot.

Keep up the work and you'll see the results
Im 6'1" and around 150ish pounds too. I consider myself slightly ripped but that's because I'm 16. I'm trying to gain weight but i dont want to gain fat cause my girlfriend loves abs XD. I eat like 3500 calories AT LEAST a day. Im gonna end up doing Damen Griffiths carb manipulator thing to get max gains. Gonna do it a few times. Its like 175$ for 16 weeks of his program and the average muscle gained is anywhere between 25-35 pounds
