    Greek Yogurt vs Cottage Cheese

Which is the better option for muscle gains and a pre-bedtime snack? They both seem to have very similar ingredient profiles.

The difference in 1 serving from either is like 10 calories i think, personally I like cottage cheese more then GY, tastes better. I honestly love cottage cheese, I put it on almost everything and people just give me the weirdest looks. Hell i put it on burgers

My pre-bed meal every night is 1 cup of greek yogurt, 1 scoop of Syntrax Micellar Creme Starwberry Milkshake powder, and a handful of blueberries. 260 cals, 44 g protein. I look forward to this meal every day. The strawberry milkshake powder tastes exactly like a Macdonalds strawberry milkshake. For some reason, casein makes a much thicker sludge than whey so its almost like ice cream. Occasionally, I'll use Pure Protein Rich Chocolate whey with the greek yogurt to make a more pudding-like sludge. I eat at least a tub of the stuff every day. For some reason, I absolutely detest the taste of cottage cheese.

Lol @ choosing which is better for muscle gainz. Why not just have both? I had greek yogurt mixed with protein powder x 2 then some cottage cheese half a tub. Got all my protein from these three things today (200g)

But alone, if cottage cheese is all I have I can eat it with some whey and pb, but I'm not crazy about it. Can't get past the consistency. I'd choose greek yogurt every time.

    Fat-free ricotta is the sh...t
    My new favorite staple.
I eat it straight, I bake it with fruit, I make sort of crustless cheesecakes, I make desserts in ramekins.
    It is awesome.

There's nothing wrong with sodium in moderation, but in general 1 serving of cottage cheese is around 700mg (rough estimate) and most people seem to comsume atleast 250gm in one sitting.

Not to mention most pre-packaged foods are aleady high in sodium.

I was just checking to make sure you realized that

Irrational fear of carbs/sodium/fats etc is one of my pet peeves.

As Julia mentioned there are brands that offer no salt added (granted, I didn't like the taste) - and in my experience were hard to locate.
