Smolov Bench - Week 3 - Day 4
120kg (264lbs) x 3 PR

PR every set lol.
So for absolutely no reason my shoulders start hurting before the workout and my left elbow starts feeling like it's getting ripped apart from the inside lol. So I used a knee wrap for my elbow. 120kg felt light as **** the first 2 sets so I decided to take it off for the third to make sure that it wasn't helping me. It felt fine, so I continued Benching with it on. By the 8th set my elbow wasn't hurting much so I took it off for the final 2 sets. It's crazy, but on the first set I felt like I had 5 reps in me.
I filmed the second set.

I tried maxing out yesterday and after a slow and painful 120kg I decided to stop. Instead of waiting a few more days to max out I've decided to just continue training and max out another day. Maybe once everything has healed properly after Smolov.

Sorry I haven't been here in a while moth, from smolov bench to smolov squat, my god you're a beggar for punishment. 160kgx5 squat is big despite what you may think lol, you probably have it for 8 on a good day though.

Doesn't feel lie it lol! But I guess I'm not far off, a few good months of 5/3/1 or another Smolov cycle should do it I think.

I think Smolov for Squats will help me from getting too ****ing fat right now lol. And yeah, that's why I was disappointed about getting 5 reps with 160kg, because on a good day I should have 7-8 I think. That's the one thing I don't like about 5/3/1, there's only 1 working set and if you **** it up you have to wait a week before you can try again lol.

Thanks man! The DB fell apart after my friend did his set. I couldn't be bothered putting it together again so I used the 40kg one for the second set lol.
