Both look good, you have to wait for them to fight to see. None of this LHW pride BS for Overeem is valid right now, neither are the cans he fought because he almost killed a few of them, hasn't looked in trouble yet. And as for Cain he has ran through pretty much everybody and looks really well rounded(against tougher competition). The fact remains that this thread has been done multiple times and why it was started again is a mystery because a Cain vs Uber match-up isn't even on the radar yet.

Pac is the one not fighting. Pac's camp had specific demands that they asked of Mayweather including small ring size, glove weight, multimillion dollar penalty for coming in over weight. Mayweather agreed to all and offered pac's camp a contract to sign. Pac's camp rejected because it included Olympic style drug testing.
End of story.

um because he gassed in the last min of 3 round fight where he was pummeling a guy for 2.5 rounds? He has looked impressive in the first few moments of every fight he has been in other then then overeem fight where he got treated like an amateur. Noone has done what overeem did to him. Duffee will win his next few fights by finish.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

I think Cain would win. I think Overeem is very good but I have to see him actually beat someone good (over the hill or not) at HW before I jump on this huge bandwagon. An over-the-hill Nog is still better than anyone Overeem has actually beaten at HW (I do think Overeem would crush Nog now though... horrible matchup for him lol).

For the one's saying Overeem (the majority), what makes you think that because he packed on some muscle and moved up to HW he's essentially a better fighter? Granted he is on a 9 fight win streak, however if you're too lazy to look it up, here's the list:
Todd Duffee
Brett Rogers
Kazuyuki Fujita
James Thompson
Tony Sylvester
Gary Goodridge
Mark Hunt
Lee Tae-Hyun
Paul Buentello
Mirko Filipovic (ruled a no contest)
Now really think about who makes up this list...
Reflect...
and how do you figure he'll run through someone like Cain Velasquez? To say he has a chance to win is one thing, to root for him to win is fine, but to say he'll destroy Cain is ridiculous.

Since when does Overeem have a good overall submission game? He's got a nasty guillotine but he's looked sorry off his back just as many times as he's caught guys in that. People will say crap like "he's never been taken down and beaten up at HW" but that's because when he was 205 he actually fought guys that were capable enough to do it.... how many good wrestlers has he fought at HW to even see if he's improved that? I'll answer that for you... NONE.

I wonder if you were saying the same thing about Bones Jones. "Zomg who has Bones Jones beat??? Shogun has fought the best fighterz!!" Look how that turned out.
According to people like you, Jon Jones wasn't as good a fighter as Shogun until AFTER he beat Shogun. HE WAS BETTER THE WHOLE TIME. Just because he hadn't proved himself doesn't mean that during the fight he magically became better than Shogun. He was better all along. Except all you heard before the fight was "lulz who has Bones faced??".
Many others feel the same about Overeem. They have seen him fight in K-1 and MMA and have come to the conclusion that he is better by WATCHING their fights. Many people believe that his skill set is better. He has superior striking and BJJ. They also believe his TDD is good enough to stop Cain's.
"OMGZ WHO HAS HE FACED" is just a dumb argument for people who can't judge for themselves the skills of a fighter. If you believe Cain is better and give actual reasons, then fine. I am just sick of people just going on Wikipedia and seeing each fighters opponents and coming to a conclusion on who is the better fighter. If the Tiger Woods dominates a bunch of 10 year olds in golf, is Michelle Wie better because she faced better competition?
Overeem will prove in time that he is one of the best Heavyweights in the world. Whether or not he is the best, we will find out.I rep back 500+ every time.

Neither because he doesn't have to... if the guy is a good striker he takes them down and wears them out; if they're good submission guys he KO's them. That's not even the point I was trying to make... I'm saying Overeem has gassed and/or given up when someone has shown they can put him on his back, and people keep saying he's improved since then in that aspect.... how do they know?? He hasn't fought any good wrestlers at HW. Cain has beaten two pretty good wrestlers, he out boxed Brock and was able to get right up when Brock took him down, and he dominated Jake O'Brien who isn't a big name, but is still a better wrestler than anyone Overeem has beat which speaks volumes about the level of competition he's faced.
He's a strong dude and he might be able to sprawl a solid traditional HW wrestler, but Cain doesn't wrestle like most HW's, the guy is relentless and keeps looking for takedowns in a variety of positions, and eventually he'll get one.

Overeem hasn't lost in MMA in nearly 4 years because that's the last time he fought anyone good, lol. I think he's a good fighter but the guy is completely unproven against good wrestlers. You list all the guys that Cain beat, I dare you to list the guys Overeem has beat in MMA over these last four years you mention.
