Okay, she isn't my girlfriend yet, but she is on the way. Just ordered a set of 10-55lb York Legacy Roundhead Dumbbells:
and the 3 Tier ETS Dumbbell Saddle Rack:
in a smokin' good deal from Allison at York. Someone here wrote that she provides good deals on York DBs and they were right. The deal was far better than I was expecting on a $ per lb basis.
The rack was on clearance because another customer returned it (they didn't realize it was so long) - so she have me a great deal on that too.
When they arrive, I will post pics and a write-up.

Darkfact: Price for the DBs was $1.15 per lb - which included shipping to MN but also included shipping for the rack.
RussAnderson: Thanks - I will definitely post pics! Actually the F660 (that we both have) was my only purchase so far and the DBs are the 2nd. I don't have anything else other than an old crappy set of DBs and an old Marcy Bench. I ordered the Legacy Power Cage and 4way utility bench but that is going to take 7-8 more weeks. Only other purchases I am making is a Rogue Olympic Bar and curl bar, and a Sorinex Hex/Shrug bar. Hoping to also get the basic 250lb starter set of Ivanko revolvers.
Jprockjr: Yes, I only got up to 55lbs for now, but hope to grow into more weight. Made the decision based both on where I am at in lifting right now and also to keep costs down. I used to lift on a regular basis when I was younger, but just getting back into it for the past six months after about 12 years off. Needless to say it will be a while before I am using more than the 55lbs (except maybe for dumbbell rows).

She's hot, but so's her older sister!
Muscletown USA, or Cougertown?
I love York roundheads. Congratulations on your recent addition. I recently picked up a pair of vintage 55-lb roundheads to fill out my 5 to 60-lb collection of roundheads. You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

She did not disappoint!
Received the new York Legacy Solid Round Pro Dumbbells this week... I love them!!!
I really like the thicker grip, knurled handles. York's website says they are 33MM, but I don't know how that compares to other DBs -- other than the fact that they are thicker than my old hex head set.
What do you guys think?

Wow, the representative you talked to from York didn't know to tell you this when you bought everything?? I would think that they should know about how each rack is designed for certain style DB's... I dont see too many DB racks for sale on craigslist around here, but I hope you get a good amount, seeing as though it has never been used. Best of luck

If anyone is looking for new dumbbells, you have got to include these York Legacy Roundheads in your consideration.. I have been working out with them for about three months and LOVE them!
Not too tall like the pro-style, but not all the paint flecks from the hexheads, and the grips are nice and tight with little room for hand travel.

Contact Allison Foreman from York. Unless the price has gone up, you'll get the set of db's (5-100lbs/5lb increments) for about $2100 shipped...which is about $1/lb. I got a quote from her earlier this year just for kicks as I wasn't really ready to get them. However, if I was, I'd probably go this route...I doubt you can find them cheaper for new...if you do, I'd still contact her to find out why and if she can beat it.
